7:00 pm tonight on NFL Network they have a hour show of all the players/coaches mic'd up from the Super Bowl. Is usually a good watch.

We watched Inside the NFL last night streaming on Showtime or on Paramount, they had the footage of the players mic'd up during the game also. They did a great breakdown of the game and how KC turned it around in the 2nd half.

Seems like he had to go somewhere else because he was never going to get a HC position while OC for KC. I think too many people think well that is just Mahomes and Ried, which there probably is some truth to. But there is a chance he becomes the HC if Rivera is let go during the season which is a possibility.

Sounds like Nagy will be moved back to OC.

Bridgewater or Brissett may be more affordable and realistic options. Chase Daniel is also available and has been a backup for the Chiefs once too. Marriota would be nice but guessing he will be too expensive for the Chiefs budget.

Marriota is going to go to a place where he has a chance to start, I really doubt that he is going to be willing to come to KC and ride the bench, realizing he will never play as long as Mahomes is healthy.

I suppose one could argue that he comes to KC to win a ring, and after a couple of years, then moves on, but he is still young enough to make some serious money before he has to become a backup.

An article in the Athletic scopes Will McDonald to be drafted by chiefs at 31.
I would love this, but I have heard that McDonald is now projected higher in the first round. I for one wouldn't mind trading up in the first round to get him since the Chiefs have a ton of picks.

Mariota's full time starting days are behind him, at least on a contender. He was barely even good for 2 years early in his career, one of those being the year he beat KC in the playoffs with a couple of ludicrous plays and officiating BS. He's a $4 million backup QB on a good team and maybe an $8 million starter on a team grooming their next QB. Career earnings are in the $64 million range, so I fully expect to see him in that backup role for the next 6 years and then retire

Mariota is only 29 going to be 30 this year, that is a very young age for anyone in his position, a former starter to start looking to become a backup QB. Plus, the teams have been with were really not the athletic teams in the league for the most part. Alanta was horrible the past couple years, the Raiders are the Raiders, and the Titians have struggled except for a couple of years.
I could see a path for him signing with another team that is looking to draft a young QB, and allow him to sit and watch for a season or two under Mariota.

Not saying Mariota is the guy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they find a QB bust trying to revive his career to take a pretty cheap deal. Obviously most will try to find a higher payday/chance to compete for a starting job. But one could fall through the cracks to KC.
