NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

Maybe it was TV (I also had radio on in the house) but I heard a possible mention of OBJ.
When will he be fully healthy? Robbie Anderson has been good for Panthers and the interim coach kicked him off bench yesterday. Could be a trade option.

Lol, are you trying to say CEH is much better? I have no dog in this fight but that's absolutely laughable as a neutral fan of both teams.
313-150 + 184-92 + 129-58 + 38:15-21:45 = 10-7

No I was saying Singletary and CEH are pretty much a wash. I have no dog in this fight either, but the other guy said he'd take Singletary over any Chiefs RB and my point was they're about the same.

You're probably right on that one. Neither is special

No idea on health. Just a shout out I quickly heard.

Allen is amazing. But until he proves himself in the playoffs he isn’t better than Mahomes. Part of being another level is proving it not only stats but wins and losses when it matters. Allen is nowhere near Mahomes in that regard.

Allen definitely took his lumps in his first few years, I think it also has taken time to get the rest of the roster built up around him. We'll see. I know if I were building my ultimate NFL team I'd take Allen over Mahomes every day. Mahomes is great, no doubt, but he does have one of the all-time great TEs to throw to, that's a pretty unique weapon to have, especially when plays break down.

I'm not too concerned with this loss. Buffalo is a good team and it was inevitable they's win one of these after all the close games they have played head to head lately. If anything I think it humbles the Chiefs a bit when this happens and motivates them to clean up the mistakes. After the loss to the Colts the offense started to click in the next 2 games I thought.

While I think it was smart to invest draft picks in the defense man Breece Hall would have looked pretty good right now on this team. Don't know why they are not playing Pacheco more lately as whenever he is in he sure looks like an explosive runner. If the Chiefs get their running game going early they usually can open things up in the passing game more. CEH to me just looks like they wasted a 1st rounder on him as he has not been consistent at all so far.

Robbie Anderson could be a good add for any team looking for WR help. The way his contract is structured, his salary is only around $1 million for this year. It bumps up to $8 million for next year, but he could be cut without penalty if he didn't pan out. He's not really a #1 option, but can certainly give you quality playing time. I'm wondering what Carolina would take for him. A 4th round pick seems equitable, especially given his benching yesterday.

Chiefs will have to look at replacing both offensive tackles this off season too. OBJ has been a little better the last couple of games, but they better not pay him top dollar since he still has trouble with speed rushers. Wylie is pretty bad and needs replaced asap. Chiefs had chances to put them away last night, but have struggled with that for a while now.

The Bills have been constructing their roster now for 3 years to be beat the Chiefs. Lets get fully healthy on defense and see where the chips fall in the playoffs

I'd do my homework on him after his head coach sent him to the locker room yesterday for getting into it with the coaching staff yesterday. The one thing the Chiefs have been good about is being careful what kind of personalities they add to their locker room.

Wow idk he was that cheap. I'd make that deal after hearing the specifics. With that contract I think he'd be highly motivated to buy in

Absolutely. His benching was not a good look. There's speculation that it was a reaction to Matt Rhule being fired, as he was Anderson's college coach as well, and the two have a very close relationship. Regardless you'd definitely want to do your due diligence before adding him

Recommended for everyone in every situation.

He’s been traded to the Cardinals. It popped up on my phone while reading this post.

Lol. Well cross that suggestion off the list. Writing was on the wall. It does stick the Panthers with a sizable dead cap hit this year and next, but they aren't doing anything anyway. They've got to be looking at a full rebuild

I was at the game. Mahomes was flushed repeatedly & found receivers at the last moment. All on his own. Buffalo was the better team. Mahomes & Reed remind me of Brady & Belichek. Once Brady left, Belichek became just another good NFL coach instead of a genius especially with how Brady transformed Tampa Bay. I suspect wherever Mahomes went he would do the same thing & Andy would be another good but not great coach.

Yeah, Brown bet on himself in turning down that contract and he isn't fairing so well. I agree on RT as well. I think they thought Niang was going to be the guy but he can't stay healthy.

I disagree about Reid. Reid is a great coach. You don't do the things he has done without Mahomes if you aren't a great coach.

I was going to say the same. I would say both are still pretty great coaches. Reid has won with all of his qbs. Took the Eagles to the Supber Bowl with McNabb and was a consistent playoff team with Alex Smith. He also helped elevate Farve's game in Green Bay

I don't think the Chiefs need any offense help other than picking up pressure from the def rush better.
The weapons are there but I think Patrick needs to get back to taking what they give you and not try to hit home runs every play. More quick hit plays.
Big part of yesterday was missing Fenton and Willie Gay.
