Have to trust that Spags had some input if they were planning to draft defense with both 1st round picks. He knows what kind of guys fit his system so hope we saw something that other teams did not. They can't afford to miss on these picks given the season we just had and the small window they have to compete with the cap challenges.
How many times have we said this before and the Jets still suck? They've had promising drafts several times in the past 5-10 years and always seem to be in rebuild mode.
Can't find and develop a QB, sooner or later they are going to hit on one of those guys. They are in the situation that they should be in position to get a QB next year, which is supposed to be a better and deeper QB class. We lived through that with KC for 30 years.
Any chance the Chiefs are targeting Stowers with their 2nd round pick as Kelce's replacement?
Boy KC really needs to hit on that 40th pick, we traded our 3rd round pick so now we have 2nd, 4th, two in the 5th and a 6th. Still need a WR, rush end, and depth along the O line.
I would not be shocked if they don't find their WR in the draft they take a chance on Tyreek Hill. I don't think he's going to be nearly the threat he was in his prime coming off injury but he will likely have to take a cheap deal since no one seems to be interested and he's very familiar with KC system. Probably going to be a best player available that fills a need situation going forward with the picks left. Still a lot of holes on defense to plug.
Only thing I can think of is that both Parker and Boston were gone, so they pivoted and took Thomas, I would have rather they took Young out of Mizzu. Done picking for the night unless they trade up again. Would be nice have that 3rd pick they traded last night. Still need a WR, TE, and depth along the Offensive line and the back end of the defense.
I agree on Young over Thomas. Seems like Thomas is just a situational player to rush passer. Granted that's really important but first 2 rounds seems early for a specialist. Would of liked to of gotten Mahomes a weapon with that pick.
