Just so everyone is clear

So what part of coaching, heart, and luck equates to not deserving the win? Yes, we finally had a few things go our way which is almost unheard of for Iowa State. It was a complete TEAM EFFORT to win a tough road game without our two offensive leaders, and I don't understand how anyone can say we didn't deserve it.

I don't think I chose my words perfectly but it's just nice to be on the right side of the breaks for a change. Look, you cannot meet a more positive chest bumping family member. I just can't explain how I feel other tha it's about ******* time. In fact, the whole fourth quarter I kept saying, "whoever you are, why do you do this to us?". That's over today. No more. No disclaimers. After Christie Johnson and Paul Rhoads I am born again.

A friend driving home from Lincoln said that on the Big Red call in show some shukers were saying they woulve beat us 45-3 if they wouldn't have had all of those turnovers... I mean they would've scored more but 45 POINTS?

Not really an overstatement, considering they left at least 28 points on the field - the 4 turnovers in the red zone.

Four trips to the red zone doesn't come close to translating to 28 points. On the season, Iowa State has allowed TD's on 63% of opponent's trips to the red zone. Nebraska's success is even lower - 55% due to the lack of a consistent running game and the absence of talent at the skill positions.

True, but turnovers are still part of the game. I love the argument "we would have won if..." Sure, Nebraska could have won if they hadn't turned the ball over eight times. But guess what, Huskers? You did turn the ball over eight times, and you lost.

I haven't said **** about ISU's win over Nebraska in this thread. I'm merely pointing out that some of things being said about ISU's win today (that they got lucky) are the exact same things that some folks were saying here after the Iowa/ISU game

Personally, I'm happy ISU won. Help's Iowa's SOS.

Which is funny because this thread is about ISU's win over Nebraska, yet you managed to turn it into something Iowa-related. Congrats.

Tell them that if we would have had AA and ARob they would have lost by 30 instead of 2.

Just remember, you folks were saying the exact same things when Iowa beat the Clones by 32 on their own field.

I'll leave it at that.

Absolutely nobody had mentioned Iowa in this thread until you tried to derail it. Please keep this talk to the In-State Rivals board. Thanks.

They're good at that. Try talking any sports with them. Count how long it takes before the conversation is steered towards something UI related.

You must have missed where one of your more respected posters agreed with me 100%, or the other 2 posts of mine where I said I was happy for ISU. This thread hardly got de-railed.

By the way, did you see the Register today?

I think your responses, unless about the Neb-ISU game, would again be best served in the In-State Rivals forum. This is the last request - I'm sorry if they don't see the glory of the front page there, but this thread isn't about your team. This is you trolling.

Thank you....Somebody needed to say that.

I'm more and more convinced that THH is actually a dealer or distributor for Mini Kota. Thanks for trying to reel him in.
