Anyone seen any images of the new boards in Hilton complete? I would assume they are all finished, and they just had a scrimmage so I would think all the boards were up and running. I havent seen any pics or videos of them complete, but may just have missed them.

They were not in use for the recent volleyball scrimmage but they still looked beautiful

Tuned in and caught them panning over the finished work from this morning, bordering the Alumni Center.

wonder if the new lots have fewer spots per section than the previous lots, just based on what I can remember it seems like the older ones had fewer cut outs and medians and things like that. Or they used to have all that and they had crumbled away by that point...

The also picked up some unused space for additional parking by switching to 90 degree parking from the old angled...

Which phase is the stage/videoboard?

Because this would be the spot. And they’re working around it.

Guess I’m not sure on the per section, but I’m pretty sure overall there’s supposed to be more parking after Cy-Town is complete than there has been previously.

  • Green Bay double the size of Ames
  • Packers have support of like 95%+ of the state
  • 10-12 football games vs 6-7

CyTown may have many of the same type of tenants at TitleTown but it'll be the Mountain Lightning version to their Mountain Dew
I think Cytown has as much potential on BB days as it does for FB. Just the way I feel no facts to back this up, but there are quite a few home games by the time you add the men and the women together.

Honestly maybe more. People are bringing their own setups for football, but when it comes to basketball season a place to go get food\drinks is more in demand before\after\between games.

I think with BB, it's just that there are more games. I have zero doubt that during FB games, whatever bars or breweries are there will be jam packed. Yeah, a lot of people bring their own setups, but there are plenty of people who will choose to avoid all the work and just go somewhere climate controlled where they can buy beer and food and watch games. Doubt I'm one of them, but man, those really hot or really cold days, it will be pretty tempting.

Now MBB...I can just imagine heading to a 1pm Saturday game at 11, watching the early B12 game with a few beers and some food, and strolling into Hilton at 12:45. That sounds pretty fun to me.

Not to mention the quantity of BB (both W and M). There's money to be made there. Regardless of the cluster it will be for FB, they will still make a killing.

Some notes in the article below. The break in home games until 9/21 will give time to finish up a few sidewalks and install sod and grass seeding. Trees will be planted later in the fall. B5 is staying uncompleted right now to give McFarland some design flexibility.
