It was basically the same situation in 04.

They made a lot of changes for 06 after the year off. Even though they investigated themselves and found nothing wrong after 04, there were enough changes in how they were approaching things that it was clear they'd recognized shortcomings in their own actions. They were working with party hosts. Over time though, they reverted back to prior behavior and antagonism (such as showing up on welch in riot gear before there were any problems) and it wasn't a surprise when things blew up again. The only surprise was that it happened on a freaking tuesday.
Where is your “I killed Veisha” shirt?

Somewhere I might have a "wasn't veishea 04 a riot" shirt
Heh. I lived in Campustown in ‘04, on Chsmberlain. Walked up Welch and everyone was just sitting around chatting quietly. Went to bed and figured it was a quiet night.

Walked out the door the next morning to go to work, and the first thing I noticed amiss was that my building’s dumpster was burnt black.

It wasn’t the last. Not hardly.

The rock landscaping around the post office was replaced a short while later. Too much ammunition.

I remember seeing the parking meters destroyed and thinking how in the hell do you break a parking meter in half.

Along with all of the look…it looks like now they’re clearing and leveling the CyTown area from north to south? Putting in some infrastructure as they go?

My eyes aren’t the best to tell.

It is getting easier and easier to envision the final form of CyTown.

The McFarland Clinic building is out to bid now also so I wouldn't be surprised if they start that later this fall or first thing in the spring.

If you want a better look, someone is zooming and panning the camera about right now. Circa 8 am. Will be available to scroll back to for 12 hours.

Dear civil engineers and PE's...

What's the thought process on choosing concrete versus asphalt? Is one better for roads and the other better for parking lots??

Isn't asphalt cheaper and easier to fix? Maybe it's as simple as that?
