The black border material is the new "will the tunnel exit be covered" mystery
I find too much enjoyment from the folks who have come on here recently and asked if there tunnel has been moved since they didn't get to experience this entire covered/lid mystery during the 191 previous pages of this thread.

If I were a betting man (I am)... I'd say the SPC camera will be moved and reused for the pes bridge project

Where would that camera even go? If it’s anywhere on the stadium you won’t be able to see anything they’re doing until next spring.

My guess would be on top of a light tower, if they can get an internet connection up there, or on top of the north video board

Yeah, I guess they could do one of the street lights along University assuming they can get wifi and power. But even then, you'd be getting a pretty distant view to the east end of the bridge. My guess is that they don't even put up the webcam until after the season and it's on top of the video board.

Having seen some of the zooming they’ve done with that camera—like on the water tower miles north, let alone the Union or Campanile—I don’t think “distant view” will be an issue. Aside from perhaps the angle.

From what people with sources have said, when they put it up will depend on when the contractor starts work. For the work on the east side of the street, that could be any time now.
