We could save some money and hire the same architect since our base stadium is the same as WVU's.

The same people that could absolutely not afford said premium seating and wouldn't donate to the project.
Sorry, I didn't know that I was signing you up to start donating. The WV article stated that once the plan was announced people started coming forward wanting to be part of the project, but I guess for ISU to do it, our athletic department would have to foot the bill for the entire thing.
We can't even get people to get $30m (probably $40m now) together for a much needed Hilton renovation that would expand the concourse and benefit everyone's game day experience. So I'm not sure how we can get people to put together $150m to fund something that would only benefit higher ups and corporate sponsors.
We will never know if we do not try. Cytown is the major focus right now, after it's built and up and running, we can move on to the next project.
Saw the majority of the side walk was poured already. Seems they really narrowed the road to get in an out of the RV park and Haunted Forest area. They also put curbs in on each side of it. I can see a lot of RVs and campers taking wide turns to get in if they are coming in off Elwood Drive (University) onto South 4th. Either that or a bunch of people are going to be curb hopping.
Some chatter about JTS concessions on the two guys pod today.
I agree the concessions were not made for a 60k capacity crowd. They pretty much ran out of room on the concourse. If they decided to expand concessions how do you think they’d would do it?
I wonder if they could build vertical and try to go on top the existing structure somehow.

If they ever do anything with the concourse I've always thought the outside of Jack Trice could use a facade. Brick wouldn't match the rest of the stadium but maybe some sort of metal facade (NOT SUKUP SILO VIBES) similar to the Jacobsen building roof to make JTS look a little more substantial from the outside than just bleachers. Plus some cover for rain.

Agree 100%. They should also consider putting a short roof over the east and west sides - something similar to what Alabama has which would make it feel more enclosed and potentially keep in more sound.
I think I would look at adding something where the elevated walkway enters the concourse from the east.
Yeah I've always wanted sun shades like that. Also it would hopefully make people shut up about the press box.

Yeah I wasn't sure what they would be called but yes, sun shades would help "close in" the stadium. Not sure if the current upper decks would be able to support those as is or if there would be a significant cost in re-engineering the back/top wall of the upper deck but again, this could be a game changer for the stadium. Alabama has their lights at the top of these which could also play into the project.
As you noted, its a fun day to dream but a project like this would be much more feasible than a new press box.
Even with no more space, they could do so much better in terms of service. For instance, having "buffet lines" where you grab and go. Or beer coolers where you walk by, grab what you want, and pay as you leave. Arizona State had several of these. Never a long line, even on a hot day.
Seriously... hiring a more competent company to run them with a more competent staff would do wonders. The amount of time it takes those people to do their jobs is absurd. I've been to 43 different FBS stadiums now and our concessions are literally the worst of all of them. And the majority of my experiences at ISU were before CMC and us regularly winning. It's just gotten worse since.
