Now that they've moved the equipment off to the side so they can work on the front plaza you can really see how far this has come along.
That would be my best guess.
I’m taking a wild guess that with 100 degree temps shortly, they do the next set of pours tomorrow morning. Now that they've moved the equipment off to the side so they can work on the front plaza you can really see how far this has come along.
It doesn't appear to be very deep, whatever they are putting down (you can see the dirt underneath showing through). Maybe a thin layer of gravel to aid drainage for the sod or possibly lime to amend the soil?Hmm. The latest rendering shows the plaza lined with trees in grassy areas on both sides, bordering the main walkways. Quite nice.
So, just curious…why would they be putting gravel down in the eastern section? A truck just dumped another load.
I mean, everything else seems to match the rendering…

I'm 99% sure they will pour concrete over that gravel soon. Maybe tomorrow.Hmm. The latest rendering shows the plaza lined with trees in grassy areas on both sides, bordering the main walkways. Quite nice.

The main north-south walkway, yes. I’d expect that first thing in the morning.I'm 99% sure they will pour concrete over that gravel soon. Maybe tomorrow.

The "gravel" on the eastern side was poured Tuesday as shown in the picture in this previous post:The gravel in the eastern section is right along the parking lot. It will become the sidewalk. In between, the gravel is very shallow as if there will be a grassy section. Just like in the sketch.
Absolutely spot on. Huge bronze statue. Lit up at night.Tell me if I'm an idiot...I want to add a Colossus of Rhodes style 50' statue of Jack trice at the entry to our stadium. Would be badass, no one else has anything like it, and would get even more pub regarding his story.
Just install 5 yellow slip-n-slides on both hills cut to size and you can charge more for the entertainment.I wonder if there are plans to stripe the grass on the hills and plaza like the MLB does. Maybe they try the stripes from 1923 uniforms.

Oh man…. In my student days (and many days after), running into the stadium after a day of tailgating I would try to fly down that…. And probably brake my drunken neck.Just install 5 yellow slip-n-slides on both hills cut to size and you can charge more for the entertainment.

And don't forget the hot tubs on top of the scoreboards....Just install 5 yellow slip-n-slides on both hills cut to size and you can charge more for the entertainment.
'Running'? Before assigned seating? That was the norm when I went to school. Remember camping out Friday before every game. Complete 'dog eat dog' race once the gates opened and then trying to 'guard' a much larger section of seats until the rest of the frat and their guests arrived hours later. Those Earl Bruce days were something special ... and quite crazy.Oh man…. In my student days (and many days after), running into the stadium after a day of tailgating I would try to fly down that….
