Pollard called the Stark Performance center's view of JTS the best view on campus.. The are not getting rid of that view any time soon. You are delusional if you actually think that happens
As I recall, that view is from the athlete’s dining hall and player’s lounge on the fourth level. There’s a classroom on the third. Nice, but hardly indispensable.

Getting kids to run around on a grassy hillside for cheap has a MUCH higher ROI than paving those seats into concrete and putting mobile pass season ticket holders there.

KIds parents buy drinks, food and swag. Kids someday will pay tuition to ISU and later on become donors sitting at midfield.

A bunch of middle aged people paying for a mobile pass NEZ seat don't even sniff the potential of those hillsides
Then why dont every stadium have grass hills for kids to play on. I think people over estimate how many kids actually come, and how much "PLAYING" is done on those hills. Ive sat right next to them several times and its really not what many make it out to be these days. A kids zone would be just as beneficial, if not more so.

This may be true, I heard a rumor from someone that CMC and Pollard have both expressed wanted to go UP on the sides before doing anything with the NEZ. Meaning they want either a 3rd deck or skybox on one or both sides before doing anything to the NEZ. Take that for what its worth it is a rumor, that someone supposedly heard from inside the program.

But with that in mind you could still do the lower bowl without changing the view from the SPC.

If we are talking doing that, when we get to the stage of looking at the E/W upper decks maybe what should be considered is redoing one of the upper decks entirely, including adding another concourse with concessions, etc.

How many other stadiums have students on the side damn near to mid field..... Not many. This is my super fast photoshop of what Im taliking about. Do they move sure. but still have some on the side. You also are complaining about an experience and moving people to the endzone when we have some of our most expensive seats in our SEZ.

Sorry but in the end it is till about money and when there is demand for more seats for donors....LIKE THIS YEAR, students will end up shifting to the cheaper seats.

Again this is a super quick photoshop job and I know the NEZ wont mirror the SEZ but it is just an example of what I mean. This shifts the students, increases the student seating, and also expands donor seating on the East side into former student sections.

That makes a TON of sense. Endzone views are really bad unless you are in a suite

That view on the fourth floor is expected to be closed off and used for recruiting. Like CMC sits a kid down and asks him if he can visualize playing on the field.. You also don't know if the Stark family donated and get's to use or enjoy that view in any capacity.

You are missing the point or maybe I'm not explaining this well enough. But those hillsides are for the little cyclone club. Sure during the game kids aren't playing on them. But before kick and after they sure are. Getting kids under 10 interested in attending ISU sports has an exponential rate of return compared to "cheap seats" for lower donation levels

Someone should tell Texas A&M that they should send their students to the endzones and open the entire side up for donor seating...

Without those good of seats.. Students wouldn't come. Without the students there is no atmosphere in college athletics

I mean, we've gotta be coming near max in terms of number of season tickets you can sell. Sure, you can just proceed to jack the prices up, but long term you do damage to the very strategies that built the fanbase in the first place, the effects of which other schools are seeing in diminishing attendance today.

Not everything is immediate ROI. When it comes to college athletics you're often talking about building ROI 20+ years down the road if you're doing it right.

Yeah, I'm not buying the need to do anything with seating right now. Maybe if we have a few more years of ticket sales like this year, you look at it. If I were to do anything, it would be to first expand the Jack Trice Club both north and south. So, you'd have two more club sections with probably a slightly lower price point. That's a fairly inexpensive project. Second, I'd get rid of the current press box and build one that is shorter, but spans the whole field. If that means redoing the west concourse, so be it. At that point, we have a top notch stadium that doesn't take a back seat to pretty much anyone except for the blue bloods.

Higher priority list in my opinion than adding more cheap seats in the NEZ:

Arts/Entertainment District
Hilton renovation
Suites on the East side
Sukup basketball practice facility redevelopment
Whetever Campbell wants next for his players and coaches
Smaller indoor facility for non-revenue sports and smaller concerts in place of Fisher Theatre
.
.
redoing the NEZ

several of those are already in the works...planning stages so they hopefully will be done before any other projects on the Stadium.

A/E district is hopefully moving forward but will be a decade out before done.
Hilton renovation is in the works and I believe set to move forward.

Not sure what you want for a Sukup redevelopment but that facility is New and I dont see that getting much done for a while.

CMC and JP will be the deciding point for all the future development so if they say NEZ, E or W or none that is going to be what it is. So that doesnt make much sense.

I think there are some plans for a smaller facility for some non rev sports in the A/E plans but again not sure that is a very high priority. I do think a facility other than the Hilton for the volleyball and wrestling to use as a venue for matches would be nice. But not sure how much of a priority that is.

Right now I think we are outselling several sections of the stadium, including donor sections, suites and clubs, we are outselling Parking. If we have a few years like this we have to look at some form of expansion. either that or increases in prices will come. I would rather see us with a 75K seat stadium with similar prices to than increase every price and price some people out of their tickets.

That says they dont stay because they are always blow outs. Not because they dont like the seats. You also have to realize they have 3 times as many student seats as us in bama. Im sure weather comes into play some days when they are winning by 60 pts and its 90 degrees with 99% humidity.
So I think they still get plenty of students but maybe have too many seats for them.

It wouldn't be just about adding cheap seats. You add the cheap seats so you can displace the current ones that are there and move in higher paying tix.

I don't see an expanded club on the east side working sandwiched between student sections.
