Josh Cunningham

Thank you! He looks like an absolute stud from the videos I've seen. This guy controls the game flow and makes everyone around him look better with his smart play and passing ability. Call me a douchetard, but I think he will be better than Morris (and no, that's not ripping on Morris).

You're a douchetard.

Sorry...had to.

I don't think people realize how good Custer's going to be.

Not questioning his talent, just think we will be heavy on guards with BIG XII experience on the team. He is a very talented player, if he comes in and shows he can play immediately, he will play immediately.

ESPN's Paul Biancardi posted an update on Josh's recruitment today...
(Though he really doesn't add any new information. not sure why he bothered writting this up? oh well)

@PaulBiancardi#askcoachb not a lot of talk about Josh Cunningham. Where do u think he ends up? Iowa State still in the mix?

His recruiting is still wide open and he has not narrowed down a final list of schools. According to his AAU coach Lance Irvin, Cunningham lists Iowa State among many others at this point such as Oklahoma, Creighton, Minnesota, South Carolina, Bradley, UMass, DePaul and St. John’s. It's tough to figure out where he will land as he is in the middle of his season.

In a recent game against Mumford (Detroit) he had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Cunningham is an undersized power forward with the right approach to the game. He has toughness, bounce and slashes his way to the basket. He is a player that you don't want to face in a game. You want him on your team because he is a true fighter who plays with urgency and makes winning plays.

askcoachB is the dumbest thing. he chooses a question to not answer, basically.

Who does THAT sound like? :)

"Cunningham is an undersized power forward with the right approach to the game. He has toughness, bounce and slashes his way to the basket. "

An undersized, slashing power forward? Sounds like Iowa State would be a good fit to me. Not only for ISU but for Cunningham.

I want to be a recruit analyst. The formula seems to be always hedge as to your position on things but continue to regurgitate widely known information. I think I could handle that.

Question-- "What is are your thoughts on Rashad Vaughn's recruitment"
Me-- "It appears to be wide open. Iowa State has a good chance, as does Baylor, UNLV, Minnesota, Duke, UNC, Kentucky. Hard to speculate. Could spend a year in Europe then go to the NBA. Always a chance he gives up basketball and goes into musical theatre. All could be potential possibilites."

Lets not judge a guy whos never played college ball. He will have growing pains and will most likely play very limited minutes next year.

I also think the chances of him coming here are small but it's not like we're competing against top notch programs. We've been on him for a while and he hasn't even narrowed his list down. I really feel like we'll go as far as our recruiting staff wants to put effort into him.

I think he is just indicating what has been said on here a few time that scout reported that staff said about a month ago they were cooling on him and now only recruitung vaughn in 2014 class and otherwise will focus on 2015 and possible highlevel transfers this spring. Whether that changed with Bluford who knows.

I hope you are correct Cydkar! Here is a video that is only a few days old. He is playing his recruitment "close to the vest." Great interview/highlights and seems like he would really fit in well with our system.
