What is the status of John Wilkins? Is he still in the running to come to Iowa State?

Last I heard, chances of of getting Wilkins left town with DRob.

Any thoughts on where Wilkins might end up? What a soap opera his recruitment has been, and he is still unsigned today. Gonna laugh if he ends up at Bradley after all this.

I suppose that Wilkins is more skilled, but I think McKnight is a better athlete. McKnight also does not appear to have a helicopter Dad who seems to hate Iowa State University. He also appears to honor his promises as Wilkins does not. Good riddance to Wilkins, he doesn't deserve to be a Cyclone anyway.

Uh huh, unless he chooses ISU, then we see the, "Welcome to the Cyclone family, he must fit in perfectly with the type of guy that Fred wants to see here!!"

Mcknight - offers from BC, Maryland, Mizzou, Wake Forest.. 4 years to play.. superior athlete and defender

Wilkins - offers from Iowa, Houston, Illinois St., Indiana.. 3 years to play.. fairly skilled, but not a great athlete or physical post presence..

i'll take Mcknight thank you very much

How did you come to that conclusion after what he said? He stated nothing but the truth and what the feelings of most are on here.

I guarantee wherever he goes he will just end up transfering after a year or two. He doesnt appear to be very loyal and it doesnt seem like he knows what he wants.

Not from me. I won't flip flop on it. I don't care if he is revealed to be the Second Coming, flies around above Hilton Coliseum shooting fireballs from his eyes and lightning bolts from his arse, and single handedly delivers a National Championship. His dad hates Iowa State University and he doesn't follow through on his promises. And, as it turns out, we got a better man in McKnight. Yay.

How do what Hawkeye fans do relate to this discussion? I'm not denying they wouldn't do the same thing if Brust re-signed with the team.

This is about Wilkins, and how while he was an ISU recruit, he was a GREAT pickup, and everybody was stoked to have him on board. Now that he's no longer an ISU guy, he's a mediocre athlete and not as good as one of the new ISU recruits.

And yes, Iowa fans do that too (before you go quoting more links).
