JJeff Injury Updates

You spelled stupid wrong
Whole lot of interesting takes, some right some wrong.

Sunday is very doubtful especially with a potential NBA draft looming.

Next week is a different story. Between a block, T shot, and stabilization measures in theory he can play. Depending on the severity and location it’s highly possible he’s advised not to in order to avoid a potential full tear. If they can get the inflammation under control based on the information provided he could play some mins next week. How many and how effective he is will depend on how effective the treatment is and how he plays on it.

I love all of you that had an ankle sprain in high school 15 years ago.

I have my doubts we see Jefferson play again for us, but he’s going to get better treatment than any of you guys did playing for a 1A school in Iowa. It’s a dumb comparison.
Good news is all of them survived to post here, or at least the ones that survived

I think we got to look at the positives & be thankful for them

For example…

Thankfully JJ isn’t a horse. You think it was tough watching the replay and seeing TJ’s emotion on the sidelines…

Now imagine TJ having to walk down there with his rifle and put JJ down.

That would have been really devastating.

That’s really all the positive thoughts I’ve got right now.

Text from my manager buddy says highly unlikely he plays again for ISU but will do everything they can if we make it til next weekend
I’ll take things that didn’t happen for $100 Alex.

Wait, who tf does Jeopardy now?

I've had at least 10 near death experiences with ankle sprains. Don't think I've died yet

I just think ankle sprains are hard to predict how they will go. I’ve had a couple that at the moment I thought were disasterous and then was able to go the next day.

It seems like Sunday would be a real stretch. Thursday might be a chance.
Chicago is on Friday, so he would get one more day even.

I do agree tho, every ankle sprain is different, and that's obvious from the stories here.

Can we stop for a second and recognize that us common folk are probably not getting the therapy and medical treatment a college athlete rushing back to play in the (potentially) Sweet 16 will get? He’s going to be getting treatment on that bad boy 24/7 and they’ll have it good and numbed up. If we won Sunday and actually be surprised if he doesn’t give us 15 min next week. But who knows.
