Was just on ESPN radio being interviewed by Doug Gottlieb, and was a total ****. He really embarrassed himself, IMO.

Did anyone else hear the interview?

Doug was just asking pretty normal questions about Micheal Vick, and Donavon McNabb, and he just treated him like he was an idiot.

"Is this your first interview?"

"what kind of question is that, how am I supposed to know?"

And as he ended the interview, Doug said thanks for joining us or whatever, and Mora says "yeah, you were real pleasure..."

He acted like a complete jerk. Dude, if you don't want to do an interview, don't do an interview. But don't get on there and act like a jerk.

Found this on another site, don't know if it's true or not. Seems like Gotlieb took some shots at his ego:

Doug asks kinda routine questions, and then he starts asking questions that obviously were upsetting to Jim..."Are you surprised at how Vick plays now?" Mora isn't, he coached the guy, he saw the potential for Vick to do this, he just never worked at it....Doug is amazed the Mora isn't floored.

Then he asks "Do you ever wonder what could have been if Vick would've bought into all of this....you might still be the coach in Atlanta?" Mora is definitely angered by this...says "I don't live in the past...you can if you want to."

Then Doug, trying not defuse the situation asks "How do you think people will respond to McNabb's return to Philly?" Mora is just trying to get it over with and says "They should do what they feel...if they want to boo...boo, if they want to cheer..cheer." Evidently Doug didn't get that he's got a ******-off guests and asks "How do you think they should feel?"

...Mora just goes off, "Dude, is this your first interview...how do I know what they should feel...Jesus Christ! They should feel how they feel!" Doug finally gets it and ends the call.

I think the real problem is Mora is a whiny *****.

Gotlieb probably shouldn't have referred to Vick's part of the Eagles offense last year as a "side show". And the loaded questions about how had Vick played like this when Mora was in Atlanta, that Mora still may have his job was a little backhanded. I guess I can see why Mora was a little upset but he completely handled it incorrectly and made himself look like an idiot.

That being said, I wonder how that interview would have went had Colin been there as opposed to Gotlieb. Something tells me that Cowherd wouldn't have taken Mora being a grump as well as Gotlieb did.

Honestly, what did Mora think he was going to be asked about? He's a ****, always has been, always will be. He was given proabably the most electrifying and unique tool the NFL has ever seen and refused to use him the way he should have been. He messed up there and then he messed up the Seahawks.

Gottlieb's question of Mora, "how should Philly fans feel about McNabb coming back" was idiotic.

Completely agree.

Why? It's practically the #1 sports question of this entire week. Would it still be a stupid question if Mora Jr was the one doing the color commentary for the game, considering he's a color analysis for Fox Sports? I mean, considering he's a color analyst, a former football coach, not to mention Vick's former coach, a guy that will be playing in the game and, for all purposes, is now doing the job that McNabb once had, IT'S MORA'S JOB to have his ear to the ground on such matters.

I actually wonder what kind of success the Falcons would have actually had in the mid-2000s had someone other than Mora Jr been the coach. The guy was practically petitioning for the Seattle job before he had even been fired from Atlanta. Mora isn't half the coach that Smith is.

It is? To speak for the Philly fans? Hardly. How about Gottlieb getting out of the studio and asking "Philly fans" himself, if he wants authentic and accurate answers? Don't be lazy about it and ask Mora to speculate about it.
It was a stupid question, and Mora would not take the bait, not dictate to fans how they should feel, and he was very reasonable in asking if this was Gottlieb's first interview.

Mora Jr. is a color analyst for FOX, who very well may be doing the game on Sunday. IT IS his job to know stuff like this. At the very least it's not part of his job description to be a complete ****** on the air.
