Why would anybody logical (other than Tamin) stay to play, given an uptick in $'s?
Loyalty to a team, in this day n age?
Lmfao....

JJ: Take the better paycheck. Duh.

If you think TJ is going to just sit back and play this game every year I've got some news for you. These are the types of things that cause coaches to do things you would have never thought possible.

I'm going to disagree with the this is less of a big deal than Hunter just because someone was waiting in the wings for Hunter's departure. This roster has some MASSIVE holes even with Jefferson in it. Jefferson is a huge, huge loss.
This.

This is a really bad ‘thing’ for Iowa State. A major bad deal.

(Wispers…um, coaches won’t stick around much longer if they can’t compete)
Then, they go. In the mean-time, they are here, and I think they are both guys who are nto jsut looking for a pay-day. If I am wrong, I am wrong. Can you imagine if we were going through this in the Walden and McDermott Eras?

This is what’s happening. Agents beating the bushes for best deal. It’s what they are hired for I guess. Not the most upstanding bunch but they have a purpose for their clients.
College sports is pro sports now. Just a lower level than traditional pro sports. I'm glad these kids have agents actually. It helps them from getting screwed over.

Honestly, it probably doesn’t matter who is coaching.

And yeah, they might not be looking for the big pay day, but all the players they want on their team are.

They still will unfortunately. It’s how sports work.
So if it just becomes the B1G and SEC that are left... and everyone else is in a lower league of some sort... you think most of the country outside of the B1G and SEC fans will still watch??

Pretty sure the Tourney has been basically all chalk without any cinderellas and has been posting record ratings.

You were just saying you follow ISU less closely but still watched the Final Four.

For now. I am totally convinced fans will start to care less and less with a new roster of players each year. And look at the product in basketball, it will get worse and worse with the rosters of just all new guys every year (as guys haven’t played together). In football : ISUs retention rate has been outstanding, and it’s really helped us so far
Do you really think this money machine has ever really given a **** about the average fan?
