His rebounding % was more modest than I’d like to see for a “athletic, hard worker” role, but we have little to lose.
Upside is we would have someone else to continue the short-shorts tradition.
In all seriousness, he is an athletic wing who I think would fit well in the open style on both offense and defense. Good teams have at least a couple of players just like Toppin, even if they are "role" players.

Some fun highlights thanks for sharing. I see he already has the Naz fo-hawk hair so he'll fit in with theme of bold hair choices the incoming class CSP must be prioritizing.
Xavier foster is a top 70 recruit, not a roll player, Some of the other freshman might not be roll players. Toppin seems like he has some upside. I would take him since we have 4 schollys available. I almost at this point would like to see us take a kid like this and red shirt him. I say next year is another throw away year at this point. Just load up on sit out guys and prepare for the year after. Kind of like Fred's first year. I think everyone would be pumped in 2 years if we did this type of a move.

This is just mean--not as much because you're making fun of someone's mistake, but moreso because I can't go buy one of these.
Foster will be a role player next year based on basically everything we have heard, unless your expectations are vastly different.
Could be true or XF could over perform like THT or THali and be more than that as a freshman. We know a player with his skill/size/petigree can do that.
Regardless he will be expected to be a contributor next year good or bad. The staff hasn't even sniffed adding another post to take minute from him and I don't think they will.
Haliburton was a role player his Freshman year and I don't think THT overperformed. He was nearly a five star and just kept moving up as a prospect before getting to campus.
