Ummm West Virginia has been a much better program than Iowa State the last 10 years, even the last 5 years. How many times have we finished ahead of them in the Big 12? Once, last year?

How do your kids survive without the hills to play on... I mean here they say there is no way we can get rid of our last 2 hills because there are 5 kids that throw the football around on them, some games.Always like how they were by the same architect. They've even had identical endzone bleachers into the mid 80s before WVU added bowl seating to both endzones. I find it odd that ISU doesn't exceed the 61,500 mark.. does your AD not give out extra tickets/standing room only?

I'm guessing this boils down to whomever had the most recent major renovation has the better stadium. Probably gone back and forth over the years. ISU getting the B12 TV money boost during that boom time for tv money before WVU did probably put us in the current lead.

NC State's Stadium is very similar to both of those also.

It’s what JTS should have been. Steeper incline and fans much closer with less space on the sidelines.
Paul Rhoads was Pitt's DC that night. Pitt had 5 wins that year....came in with 4.
I hope everyone caught this. I was a child at the time and will never forget it.
Per Google maps, the shortest route between the 2 universities is 73 miles.
If you get there in 50 minutes, that means WVU fans drive an average of 87.6 MPH.

The Architectural Firm was HOK from St Louis, Missouri as I remember it and the cost for Cyclone Stadium (previous name before JTS) was a whopping 7.5 Million. West VA called ISU to inquire as to who designed our football stadium and the rest is history as they say...and btw I was at the first game in 1975 when we played Air Force and the kicker for the Falcons kicked a 63 yard field goal thru the south goalposts (a new ncaa record at the time)...needless to say the wind was blowing hard out of the north.....
