IWCC

A buddy of mine that I went to high school with went to IWCC and had some D-2 offers. Last I heard, he wanted to walk on at ISU. Here is his highlight tape from this year. Not promoting him by any means but what do you think?

Rarely do teams place recruits at JUCOs and end up getting them back. Either they play better than expected and get the really big offers or worse than expected and the original school passes. For every one that makes it back, there are 10 that don't.

He isn't going to Iowa either.

I don't think this is going to be a problem. Coe had offers from pretty much every school (Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, etc). If he chose Iowa the first time, I don't know why he wouldn't the second go-round.

It's a two way street and there are plenty of ways he doesn't end up in IC. Say IWCC plays him at LB and he blows up and sees that his future is at LB. All of a sudden that OU LB offer looks pretty good. Say IWCC plays him at RB and he does well, making all of those big dogs realize that they should have offered him as a RB in the first place. Maybe Auburn offers him as a RB then. Or say iowa has a solid 1-2 punch of underclassman coming back in two years and has no need for a JUCO RB. Finally, say that his work ethic is lacking or he gets in some trouble or he just underperforms and ends up being more of a mid-major talent. For most teams, if you have a recruit end up going JUCO, there's a good chance that he's never going to see your campus. I don't know the percentages, but the odds are stacked against it anyway.

Coe won't be playing RB at any D1 school anyway. Last I heard he is up around 280 and considering he was at 250 in high school it probably is true. He will be playing DT at the next level and probably at IWCC.
