The AD needs more donors at the $100 level. That’s not asking a lot. It’s embarrassing how few donors there are at the $100 level. This might sound bad. I want to donate really bad, but won’t yet.
Our donation level can be a lot higher, but will require the university to be a bit more creative on how to expand donation from lower levels ($100-200), and how to start getting out of state folks like me to donate. Unfortunately, I think that if people like me start donating now, it will help short term, but will delay the meaningful change that is needed. So good short term, but bad long term. I could also be completely wrong.
They need to have the phone people hammering the graduates and alumni association people hard. Have a $50 one that basically matches the alumni association payment. Getting the checkbook opened is the hardest. The AD needs more donors at the $100 level. That’s not asking a lot. It’s embarrassing how few donors there are at the $100 level.
I’ve said this before but do something called the 120 club or 1010 club. Get new grads to donate $10/month, $120 per year. Or $10/month and increase 10% per year. They need to have the phone people hammering the graduates and alumni association people hard.
