ISU Bowl Projection

Seems like several bowls are going the goofy, quirky route to make the bowl more recognizable, fun, etc.
Pop tarts
Duke Mayo
Bush's Beans

Are all leaning on the goofiness and doing funny things to promote the bowl.
Don’t forget Prince Cheddward of the Cheez-it Bowl!

The problem is how do you determine selection order for non-cfp bowls? Lottery? Not all bowls are created equal, I think we can all agree an Alamo bowl is not the same as a Music city bowl, so should there be a world where the music city bowl selects teams ahead of the Alamo bowl?

Do you make the committee rank all bowl eligible teams and assign the games? How do you eliminate the bias in that system when the committee members are usually affiliated with a university in some way?

I think about the only way to do it would be to have all bowl games be available outside the cfp, then have the committee rank the teams, then the teams go down the list in ranked order and select what bowl game they want.

Go with an extention of the CFP formula and match up accordingly.

#17 plays #18 etc except for conference teams but with how dumb mega conferences are anyway maybe just say **** it and have two conference teams play if they didn't in the regular season.

It is kinda nice to now be an entitled fanbase. Bowls every year. NCAA tournaments every year. Not every program in the state has these things.
All we ever wanted was ISU to be a normal football program. Good years, bad years. Not to be a hopeless laughingstock.

Achieved.

Started with Mac, took 20 years really. But the last decade theyve been better than ever and certainly better than average.

I am hoping for the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl (1:00 PM ET on ESPN), the AutoZone Liberty Bowl (4:30 PM ET on ESPN), and the Holiday Bowl or Duke's Mayo Bowl on Jan 2, 2026.
Like Coach Campbell said, "the later the better!"

Did this win lock them out of Memphis?
Dont think anything we do at this point locks us out of anywhere.

We are going to be in the range of multiple bowls, and they can choose anyone available, when their pick comes up.

Right now we are going to be in a large jumble of teams all close to the same record in the middle of the pack.

It really just is going to come down to how everyone lands at this point.

We wont get the Alamo, doubtful we get Poptarts, after that is really up in the air, especially with some of the Pac schools getting access to their legacy bowls yet.

Not me I dont want a chance to loose to them ever again. I would be the most nervous about that game than any game in years.
Disagree, as Nebraska currently has scoreboard. One more loss would not be the end of the world. However, Let's get scoreboard, a Trophy, then go into the "We don't ever need to play them again" mode. That would be sweet! :)

There’s a 0% chance this ISU team loses to a nebby team without raiola. There’s about a 20% chance they lose if Raiola was healthy

Making plans for Phoenix, but I would go to Memphis. There is so much more to Memphis, such as the Civil Rights Museum and wonderful local BBQ places.
Sun City is freaking amazing every time.
