Independence?? I forgot we took that one back.

Toledo didn’t make the MAC title game, which was a good thing because Matt said he wouldn’t have interviewed anywhere had he had that championship to be preparing for.
So I remember watching Toledo lose to Western Michigan. My memory was that I watched it because Campbell was going to be the ISU coach. However, I would have rooted against Fleck regardless had I randomly watched the game.

Just looked it up and the game was the final regular season game (not the championship), but it looks like it was before the announcement.

Was it known Campbell was the front runner?

Edit: Just reread your comment. So that is weird. Campbell hadn’t even interviewed at that point? The Mandela effect is pretty strong here. I vividly remember being bummed by the Toledo loss.

That pac 12 thing screws everything up for me to make sense of who might go where

Step 1 - take out the playoff teams
Step 2 - take out the old Pac-12 teams
Step 3 - assume the highest-ranked remaining team to the Alamo (that's their M.O.)

Then go from there, starting with Pop-Tarts.

I'm happy we get to go bowling...talking to friends pre-game Saturday and there was the other scenerio of losing and then really spiraling.

Hopefully this off week will heal some of the guys, refocus, and hit the last two games to get to an outcome this season that is much more respectable (and in alignment of what most experts would have thought).

But dang.....that Colorado loss really stings (all of them do in different ways, but SHOULD have been able to get at least 1-2 of those 4 we lost.

I think you’re right, but every day I’m grateful that Pollard hired CMC over Fleck. CMC is a great representative of the university, the players like playing for him and he runs a clean program. Between Fleck being an arrogant **** and the whole Fleckbucks story, ISU dodged a huge bullet not hiring him.
What's the conversion rate of Fleckbucks to Chizik coins?
