ISU #11 in new AP Poll.

To everyone freaking out about how UNI may/may not jump ISU in the polls. Calm down. As a diehard UNI fan I can say with 99% certainty that UNI will lose a game they aren't supposed to between now and the season finale at Wichita State. Heck, it might even be tomorrow night at Indiana State. Greg Lansing seems to have Ben Jacobson's number. A loss like that will drop UNI far enough down the polls that they would have a very hard time getting back in the Top 15 the rest of the season.

The problem I have is that UNI beat WSU, which I have been saying for 2 years is NOT a great team. That team in the Big 12 would never even sniff the leaguy championship. If UNI is a tough environment for them, think what Hilton or the Phog would be like. When you play teams like WSU at home, you should EXPECT to win. The only real story is LOSING to them at home.

UNI really only has one more chance to lose before the return trip to Wichita and that is tomorrow night. If we get past that one, I fully expect us to be ranked about 8th when we get to Wichita at the end of the month.

Its more depressing everyday and every time a poll comes out that the state was robbed of a UNI/ISU matchup this year because of Fran's temper tantrum in Cedar Falls. Would have been a great game.

Pardon my ignorance... but what was the whole story with why the Big 4 Challenge was created? It had to do w/ Fran?

I believe the freak out you're looking for is located here... www.hawkeyenation.com

11th is right where we should be.
No one expects us to win tonight at UK. Take "Focus Town" down there and we pull out a win to make us a legit top 10 team.

It would be quite the accomplishment to win at KU and UK in the same night though.

The last time Iowa played in Cedar Falls, Fran went ballistic and Higgins ejected him. This is a game that UNI went on to win by 20. From that moment Fran and Barta started talking about 'schedule flexibility' and opening up dates to play 'blue bloods'. This led to Iowa replacing the UNI or Drake road game with an absolute cupcake and the Big 4.

Pollard didn't love the road games in Valley buildings, but I think would still be playing them if Iowa didn't absolutely freak out about it.

For all that is sacred, please. KU is Kansas. UK is Kentucky. Whether it makes sense or not, it's been that way for more than 100 years.

This game and the big 12 season champs are UKs to lose. I predict a score of

UK-83
ISU-71

P.S. Isn't it the University of Kansas? Why do they go by KU? Kansas University? Wharr?

Also why is KC in Missouri?
