Is this the year the BCS implodes?

If BYU manages to run the table in the Mountain West, they would have to beat Florida State (not as good as they once were, still a likely bowl team), TCU (currently ranked 16th), Air Force (played in a bowl game the last two seasons), and Utah (currently ranked 17th). That, it seems, would be a legitimate argument to play for the title.

yea if BYU wins out they'd deserve it, Boise...probably not. Although I see BYU losing to TCU and maybe Utah, but even if they do they'll probably need some help. Both Florida and Texas have the luxury of having their toughest games early or midway through the season which will give them plenty of time to climb back up if they happen to slip up.
