Eh, that's pretty much a thing of the past.

Seems like kids are starting to flock here too play with and against good talent. Daddy like.I really hope we go transfer to replace Holmes and Gabe. No more HS kids unless maybe it's a project, a raw big guy or wing with some length. The 23/24 team looks like it will be a bit green, need to use the transfer portal to get old. Only a select group of frosh are going to be ready for the big 12 most seasons, I think Baylor was the only team playing more than 1 last year and they were both highly touted kids (1 and done) that were surrounded by a group of very experienced players.
Doing a little more research it appears he has already narrowed it down to Minn, Ohio State, Kansas, Virginia and Xavier.Chatman is a “can go pretty much anywhere he wants” kind of player. If he ends up at Minny, I’d honestly be shocked.

I think all three of our freshman this year fit that mold. 3-4 stars who are athletic enough to play at this level but unlikely to blow up and transfer or go to the draft in year 1 or 2.Eh, that's pretty much a thing of the past.
As much as I would love a "fab 5" due to transfer rules a fab-five scenario is likely not the best winning scenario. Not that I am a fan of pushing guys out but how cool would it be to have a couple more scholarships to go after 2 more big recruits and essentially have our own "Fab 5?" One of those things you already have one of the best 2023 classes, why not swing for the fences with this momentum and see how many more still left to decide would want to join the 3 we have and make a run at it. Just wishful thinking there obviously but its fun to think of the possibilities with this kind of excitement.
who among the freshmen this year, and the 3 commitments for next year do we see staying for '4' years. Will it happen in this day and age with any of them?I think all three of our freshman this year fit that mold. 3-4 stars who are athletic enough to play at this level but unlikely to blow up and transfer or go to the draft in year 1 or 2.
No, it is not
Okay its been awhile.....is Ward coming or not?Not including any transfers OUT we have anywhere from 2-6 scholarships still available. Things are very fluid with 4 guys (Grill, Jones, Ward, Tre King) being eligible to use their extra COVID year.

Fish is just starting to gain P% interest got a BC offer this weekend and I believe an Xavier one this spring and now the ISU one. He'll get the scouts review and rating soon or if he commits to a P5 team now that he's getting attention.Fish's is really interesting, his highlights are all below the rim plays. How would an unrated kid impact the overall class rating?
I think max wise we are sitting at 11. Jones, could stay another as well. (Before you dismiss him, he's a great out of the rotation security piece to have)We are at a maximum of 10 scholarship players for the 2023-24 if I'm looking at things correctly. That's if Tre King, Grill, and Ward take a covid year of eligibility plus nobody transfers out.
So, definitely not done adding players. Maybe one more freshman, and likely a few transfers.
