Is espn+ worth it?

I wish rugby was on there (I know it is only a club sport), but ISU got national runner up last season in 15's and national champ in 7's. I played in the early 00's
yeah you wont find club sports anywhere as far as I know.

Worth it if you want to watch ISU games, but man-oh-man, do they put together a JV production.

ususally when ISU is on espn+ i find and illegal stream and watch that way, but that is always a crap shoot for quality and inevitably I have to restart the stream anywhere from a few times to 10+ times per game which sucks.

for those of you that have tried ESPN+ is it worth the 10 bucks a month? Probably better during basketball season I would guess when there is a higher probability of ISU being aired more that one time per month.
As recent as the late 2000s, there were many ISU conference games not televised. It’s great that there’s finally an option to watch every ISU game. I never understood how before 2011, Fox Sports Net owned all of the conference games that were not televised so not even MC22 could televise the games.

2011 and on was great that every game was on cable but in 2018ish Fox opted out for televising the Big 12 Championship. That left a void every other year for the Big 12 championship. In order to get ESPN to agree to take the television rights for the years left by Fox, the Big 12 had to give ESPN their 3rd tier rights for all schools except Texas and OU (previously owned by each school) thus ESPN+ was born. It was advertised the quality would be as good as the ESPN cable broadcasts. I highly disagree that is the case. But… At the end of the day I’m glad ISU now has every game on TV but the 2011ish to 2018ish was the absolute best when every game was on cable.

You must be watching a different ESPN plus than me. Its pretty damn good.
Anything other than college football and basketball (when comparing against the flagship ESPN broadcasts). It seems for college sports, ESPN uses ESPN+ as their development program for their production crew and on air talent…and it shows.

I dont notice the difference but maybe I dont pay enough attention or care.

If you watch any ufc, it’s more than worth it.

But like many itt have said, it’s great during basketball season.

I mean, it’s very, very obvious and known that ESPN is not going to put their best talent and producers on ESPN+ broadcasts. It’s a lesser product. But honestly, it’s good enough. Streaming ESPN+ on Apple TV - the picture quality is fantastic. I’ve never noticed a difference between the picture vs. a normal/standard broadcast using YTTV to watch ESPN or ESPN2. Both look great. And I can easily find and watch replays and zip through them. Love it.

Love how I can watch women’s college sports. About the only thing ESPN has done that doesn’t annoy me

I dont care who calls games honestly.

Be grateful that we get to see games, that we normally can't.
Jfc...10 bucks or so per month.
I'da paid $100 to see this game today. Ps. I'm far from financially set.

I get the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle “free” through Verizon but I got an email last week informing me the price of the bundle is going up and the bundle will no longer be included in my plan starting next month. We don’t watch anything on Disney+ or Hulu so looks like I’ll have to start paying $11.99 for ESPN+. Oh well, it’s worth it to watch the Cyclones.

There’s a ton of great content on Hulu and Disney+, including access to a lot of great movies. Would highly recommend giving it a try. A no brainer if you’ve got young kids, relatives, grandkids, etc. with all the baked in Marvel, Star Wars, and classic Disney stuff.

I add it to my Disney Hulu bundle the day we play our first football game on ESPN+, then I drop it the moment we play our last ESPN MBB game of the season.

I'll patoup to watch my ISU football and men's hoops. After that, I don't have much use for it. I rarely watch games from other schools on there, the better games are usually on one of the networks.

Just got what seems like a now annual e-mail saying ESPN+ will rise in price again. They are adding another dollar a month to $11.99 starting October 17th.
