I think Rulzzz is looking into repairing his screen too. You guys should just fix each other's . No stress!

Yeah nobody responded to mine so I'll post here. Mine is a tablet though. I ordered a new screen and digitizer but not sure if I'm up to doing the actual repair. Hoping my brother can do it.

I will do it for one (1) case of Busch Light. Oh, and I'm gonna need you to sign a waiver stating that I have no idea what I'm doing, and tablet will probably (definitely) be returned in worse condition.

Sounds like you have decided to have someone else do it, but just in case.

I think this website is pretty trusted in the Apple community, incase you didn't already find it.

iFixit: The free repair manual

Again, thanks for this website/info! But after reading through the steps to fixing the iPad screen...I don't feel so bad in paying money to have someone else fix it! Wow...

There's a place like the Ankeny FixIt down in Valley Junction that took care of my girlfriend's S4 that she decided needed to go for a swim in the toilet. :skeptical:

Her first move after dropping it in the toilet? Rinsing it off to make sure it was sanitary.

She sounds hot. I mean, she at least has to have that going for her, right? :jimlad:

Wanted to say thanks for all the input. I placed the iPad in the mail and sent it to Ankeny. I called and told the guy he got a lot of positive support from CycloneFanatic. He seemed appreciative and excited that his work was well-received.

He should advertise on here, or at least give coupons.

I emailed this guy in ankeny bc I need a new power button in my GS3, after reading someone say they used him for a GS4. He was very friendly and prompt but only works on i stuff.

I think you made the right decision. Apples doesn't make their stuff very friendly to the avg joe trying to fix it.

Bumping this.

AnkenyFixit is now advertising with Cyclone Fanatic. If anyone hasn't used them when they have a broken iPhone or iPad screen, I recommend they do. They really do a great job at a much more reasonable price.

I was just about to find this thread and add to it. I sent my iPad through the mail last Thursday. I received it back yesterday. The iPad looks and feels brand new! The work was awesome! Sent out, fixed and returned to my possession in less than a week! Can't say enough about the service. All for at least $100 less than the next lowest quote I got on fixing it.

Also, I got an email from the tech yesterday telling me that he thought he shipped it back with a certain function turned on that helps him reset the screen. He sent me specific instructions on how to turn it off. Great service all around. I would strongly recommend this business!
