Of course they did...... He started 0-4 and finished 8-11 with 3 TD's and 125 yards passing and 1 INT. He really settled in and played pretty well considering it was his first Collegiate start. I'm not anointing him Iowa's next great QB by any means yet, but he has all the tools to become a very good QB at Iowa. Next week will really be a test for him in a hostile road environment against a much improved ISU squad.
I'll bet you that he goes on to have a better career than any ISU QB of the last 8 years (as evidenced by career W/L record and QB rating)

He made another dangerous throw in traffic, but once he got settled in he looked solid. Hard to draw too much from one game against what is probably a pretty weak defense, but he should be effective given the OL and running game. One thing I noticed is like all Iowa QBs he runs PA to damn near perfection.

Not too hard to see what this guy was saying. Stanley went 0-4 to start, then went 8-11. This brings a total of 8-15. First career start.He magically completed a pass without an attempt? Impressive!
True, but I think a lot of it from the ISU side is people mocking the Iowa fans that pretend they don't care.
