Iowa tax refund

Mine took many weeks to come. I finally went to this site https://tax.iowa.gov/wheres-my-refund and after entering my information about 2 days later they said they sent it for payment after reviewing my filing.
Filed both in 2/24 received state 3/29 was surprised as H that it was that fast. Still nothing from the feds.
Same here. Filed on 2/7. Got my federal refund a week after I filed (2/15), but Iowa was over a month later (3/13).
I'm not an expert but I'm just going to make a wild guess that a huge surplus has nothing to do with when you'll get your tax returns. If this was the case, you'd still be waiting for your federal return from around 1970.
Big bonus, switched high price healthcare from my work to wife’s work (equates to another increase in my salary), and wife did not have nearly enough taken out; so our check will go in the mail on April 10th and our state check in May.
Iowa keeps bragging about sitting on a pile of money. Maybe they fired all the tax dudes except Bob Cratchit, who is working long hours with only a single lump of coal to process all of our returns.
Yeah, that sucks. My wife and I had a similar situation a few years ago when I moved into a higher paying job and our salaries were too far apart. Never going to make that mistake again. (as I frantically find wood to knock on....)
Using TurboTax Deluxe, filed State Feb 4 and the refund was electronically deposited into the bank Mar 7. That was the last Iowa Income Tax return that I'll ever have to file.

Same, second year in a row. Despite increasing withholding this year, we owe in even more to each than a year ago. Already filed new W4s to hopefully get it right moving forward.
