Iowa Tailgate - Lot G2/3

I only actually parked in that lot for one Iowa game, 2007. We intended to park there in 2005, but tried to get in that morning a couple hours before it opened. There were so many people in line that we got stuck up in Vet Med.
In '07, we took the van down about midnight. There were already so many people in line, that we were closer to Reiman Gardens than we were to the entrance by the time they let us in.
So, I'm thinking with a 9:30 open, if you aren't there by bar close, you're risking getting stuck in a different lot.

Ehh, I think people are still hardcore about tailgating, especially for the Iowa game following a win.
Our crew got in line for the UNI tailgate a couple hours before the lots opened & ended up across from Reiman Gardens.
For this game and a 3:30 kickoff, you better be in line before midnight to even get in that parking lot. And probably to be safe, you might want to get there early evening tonight.
I thought the lots opened at 7?
Anyway, I was in that lot in 09 and 11. In 09 we were down there at 3 a.m. and were clear to the North side of G3 which is the spot I would pick every time.
Ok, I've seen the game starting at 3:00, 3:30 and 3:45....does anyone know what time the damn game is??
I'm tailgating. Not going to mess around with a line for the entire day since there isn't a bad seat in the student section.
I think they're talking about the line to get into the tailgating lots, not the student section in JTS.
