Lot of big12 play left. This may be a well timed loss coming going into the stretch we're looking at now... I'm looking at the whole season. Hope this will bring some fire back to the line-up.

McGee had an off night, and we really missed the spark. We need to be less dependent on him to get us going...

This is who they are. It is not a matter of waking up. Honestly, they look poorly coached (if they are coached at all).

Completely agree.

The announcer had the best comment tonight when he said he couldn't believe how calm and cool Fred was and that he'd be pulling his hair out by now, and then he followed up by saying "yeah, but he's sitting on 10 years worth of NBA executive money, so why would he care? He's sitting pretty."

That's exactly how Fred looks ALL the time. And his team has the same, "I couldn't possibly care less" attitude. It cost us tonight.

Really the second lackluster game in a row. The lack of frontcourt depth is being exposed. I haven't seen much out of Booker and Gibson since the start of conference play that inspires much, if any, confidence. Tyrus couldn't buy a shot tonight and it just seemed as if there was way too much one on one stuff. Not as many good clean shots within the offense. It is correctable but this will certainly be classified as a poor loss come March.

At this point there is absolutely no room for error the rest of the way. Have to beat KU, KSU, Baylor, OU and OSU at home which would give us five quality wins against tournament teams within the conference. The problem is that it will be difficult to find many road wins if we continue to execute the way we have the past two games.

Somewhere in the U.S.
Now ISU HAS to beat KSU (probably twice), KU at home, and probably at worst split with Baylor, OU, and OSU to have a prayer for the NCAA.

Sorry.....I think it is NIT at best. This team has no real floor leader, and no energy when it is needed. It seems like the 5th year seniors just want to get the season over with and move on to something else.

Guys don't look like they are having any fun or that they like each other at all. Seems like something is wrong in the locker room. Sucks.

It's really not worth our coach dying for him to freak out on TTU.

NIT! NIT! NIT! And yes, I do follow college basketball closely. RPI of 229. 9-8 record.

I've watched a ton of college bball this year and ISU is not a tournament team. The wins we have are unimpressive.

Well that's pretty much the scenario that got a 8 seed for us last year.

I disagree that this puts us out of the tournament, but if we are sitting at fifth or sixth without a couple serious marquee wins, this is the nail in the coffin.

Better be great the rest of the year.

Yup. We have no big wins so far. The other side of that had been we also had no bad losses. Now we do. This loss means we have to perform that much better the rest of the way, and if we play like we did today at any other game, we will lose a lot of games.

Wanted to believe we were done with this kind of performance after the nonconference had some awful stretches where we checked out of games (and still managed to blow those teams out because those teams were just incredibly bad), but this game and portions of all others except kansas, show we're not above completely checking out.

If they dont have a fire under their ***** saturday, it could be brutal.

If he can't coach college basketball because if his health, then maybe he shouldn't?

Would playing for Fred light a fire under you when you need it on the road in the Big 12? It wouldn't for me. Maybe he's in the wrong profession?

Our guys played just like our coach coached tonight. Lackluster, no effort, no passion, no emotion, etc.

Ejim was not himself tonight either and this is the first time I am disappointed in him.

I feel ashamed to have rooted for this team. I see nothing but selfishness, lack of effort and stupidity.

To all of you who are in melt down mode. Get a grip. Every season has a couple of periods where things bottom out. Maybe I'm just getting old but I get so tired of fans who over react after a great win or a disappointing loss.

We play with very little margin for error. If the 3's are falling, we can be pretty good. But when they are not, all we get are a bunch of bad, fade-away 3's. We have to be able to go inside out, and get 3's from the trailer on the fast break. Can't walk it up, dribble between the legs a few time, then cast up a fade-away. Kobe and LeBron can do that, not us.
