Some of the KXNO folks did a Cold Case podcast a few years ago. Haven't done it in quite some time, though.

I know one of these from the 90s, my ex's best friend at the time. I remember being at the hospital on Christmas. Shaken/abused 2yo, guy was charged, tried, and acquitted. The defense went after the mom and the experts, and sowed enough reasonable doubt to win. So it's a "cold case" but there's no work to do - they know who did it, he just got away with it.
Big Earl is in there too. Didn't realize that was unsolved.

Mary Lange
On Dec. 17, 1970, Mary Lange, 37, of Burlington was bludgeoned three times in the head, driven to a creek and dragged, unconscious, into the water to drown.

The Ashley Okland one is the one I think of. I lived practically right across the street at the time at the townhomes across the street from where she was working.
My mom worked with her mom at ISU so that one hits closer to home for me and especially my mom.
There's a documentary out there called Who took Johnny. Pretty interesting.

I've always wondered who killed the Perry girl from Creston back in the 80s. Disappeared from a laundry mat and found buried in a shallow grave about 10 miles SW of there off of Highway 25 a few years later.

Corinne Perry, 17, disappeared from a Creston laundromat April 17, 1983. Her remains were found Nov. 27, 1984 in a shallow grave south of Creston.
