Any update on the injuries, specifically to porter and Brazina? We really need them back next week, that West Virginia team is solid.

They said Porter was a game time decision tonight and he was moving around well on the sidelines, offering encouragement and congratulations for the end zone pick. Unless he suffers a setback this week, I'd expect to see him play at WVU.

I've got to say, the depth on this squad is outstanding. We've had so many injuries at LB you need a program to keep up with who's on the field, yet they keep making plays. Next man up is a reality in Ames these days and it's a refreshing change! Go State!

We had 23 different players make tackles on defense. Great derpth!

Follow up - were there any significant injuries that will keep anyone out long term. Or will everyone be back next week. Good to see Orange and Singleton were back in later on.

I thought Barnes looked decent replacing Brezina. Put pressure on their QB a couple of times.

This can't be understated. I was there on our last 5-0 start and it was the lack of depth that compromised the rest of the season. Of course we've yet to see the rest of this season, but it's very obvious we're less dependent on the 1st stringers. The other thing I see is attention to assignments. Good times.

Who all is/was dinged up on D that wasn’t already out for the year? Orange is a big one but he went back in.

I don't anticipate an undefeated season or anything but I'd be very surprised to not see at least 8 wins and the depth being able to hold steady should help a lot.

Very concerned about linebacker going forward. Baylor did not come into the game with a good running game, next week we play a team that can really run the ball. Do we know Brezina's status yet? If we don't have Brezina next week, here are the guys left that played last night. Beau Goodwin, Rylan Barnes, Zachary Lovett, Jacob Imming, Cooper Ebel, and Jacob Ellis. Is Beau Goodwin a walk on? And was this Lovett's first game at the linebacker position?

Beau Goodwin is a scholarship freshman. The only uninjured scholarship linebackers I haven’t seen yet are his fellow frosh, Mason Miller and Danny Inglis. Both were around for Spring, but the latter has lots of weight room work to do.

Hoping Lovett and Sadowsky are fully healthy soon. Not the former’s first action.

Lovett yes, it was stated they moved him last week and this was his first game at the new position.
