The fact that airlines board seats at the front of the plane first drives me insane. It makes zero sense.

If you started with the back of the plane you pretty much theoretically have everybody entering with almost no stopping to their row, simultaneously.
This x1000! I want to be the last one to get on, and the first to get off the stinking plane. And if I happen to be in the middle or back, I don’t want to have to climb over the people in the front when I board to get to my seat.

And when the plane lands, sit your a** down until it’s your turn to get off!!

The airlines know what your layover time is and if it’s tight to make your next flight. I’d be fine if they announce names of people who can get off first, especially if the arrival is late. Everyone else, stay seated and let those people off first. But otherwise, if you budge in line you get tased.

Stuck at a red light when I'm turning right but blocked by cars going straight. Turn lanes MUST be made mandatory at every intersection.

Ok ladies... sorry about this, but:

Can't stand being behind you at a cash register and you take several minutes digging through your purse placing items on the counter to find your debit card.... THEN... another 5 minutes putting all of your stuff back in your purse before moving on.

On some planes this would cause the plane to tip nose up.

And For the Love..., can you stand up and grab your overhead bag BEFORE it's your turn to exit instead of making every single person behind you wait while you wrangle your Samsonite??

People who stop their vehicle a car length (or more!) behind the one in front of them at a stop light. ***** up left turns, getting through the light on your cycle, etc. What is the rationale? So they don't rear-end the vehicle in front of them?

My experience from working in multiple grocery stores in HS and college is that most of the time there is not a bagger for each checkout line but the cashier is assuming one will eventually come bag the order. The baggers are supposed to move to the closet check out after completing an order and bag the next line that needs the help but some of the baggers instead just wait until the next order in the line either because they are chatting with the cashier or don't want to start bagging the line next to them that has piled up. It's a battle that goes on daily because they do not schedule the front end help to have 1 cashier and 1 bagger per lane open because there are slow times where both will be standing around doing nothing. If there is a big rush and they are short handed up from they will get on the intercom and start calling for other departments to send help up front. I mostly worked the meat department and we were always sending 1 person up front it felt like. That's just the way retail works, they expect everyone to pitch in and help where needed even if it doing a job role that is not what you primarily do.

Now a good front end shift manager can manage that effectively by staying on top of things and making sure those scheduled to work the checkouts are not standing around doing nothing while another line is struggling to keep up. They also know when it is appropriate to call up help from other departments too without pissing off the department heads for short staffing them in the process as there are some managers that will call up half the store at the first sign the lines are starting to get longer and you do that enough times and department heads will stop sending help up front.

The biggest peeve I have is if I am using the self checkout and something you scan triggers the wait for assistance light. Nothing irks me more than waiting there several minutes sometimes because the person assigned to self checkout is either not in the area or they are but are distracted with something else like their phone or talking to someone. At that point the self checkout option may have been a waste of your time if you have to hunt someone down just to verify your ID or clear a scanning error on the screen.
There are no baggers in the grocery store I visit.

Not exactly sure.
Yeah, how come some of them can group on the fly and some can't then?
Some pay attention to what they will scan and some just take the next item in line. Could be like target where they take the next in line you end up with 20 bags for 30 items.

So in other words, they're inefficient, which is why I responded to this post in the first place.

Do you place the items on the conveyer so they can scan and bag easily? It may be you that is causing the inefficiencies. I actually do place my items on the conveyor how I think they will bag them to speed it up.

Testifying
A lot of airplane talk on here. After the Maui trip I want to add in:
Parents who aren't prepared for kids to travel. Bring sticker books, a Nintendo switch, a pacifier, gum, crayons. Appropriate stuff for their age.
People who need to touch the top of everyone's seat (maybe even barely touch their head) as they go to and from the bathroom. Gross, put your hand up on the overhead if you need to touch anything to steady yourself. Also, some people may be sleeping when you're touching them.
People who aren't prepared to put their trash in the bag when the attendants walk by and instead put it in the net of the seat.
People who are in line to board when their zone hasn't been called.
People making them selves incredibly at home on the aisle seat when there's still people that need to get into the row.
People who call someone as soon as we land and have a conversation about the flight.
People who dont clearly respond to an attendants when they're asked about exit row responsibilities.

I try to be courteous, yes, placing items like meat together. I also place any bread items together and all the canned goods together, etc.

Do you want your raw chicken hanging out with your hamburger buns? They are trying to group things usually
Definitely this. Plus when I was a cashier, most people waited until the end to pay, and I knew I could do about 5 bags while the customer is swlping the card and going through the prompts. It was more efficient to do that than twiddle my thumbs waiting for the customer.
