I understand that inbounds plays are the thing this board gets their pantys in a bunch about but maybe, just maybe, they are being drawn up well but execution and/or the defense is making them not work. This is just something that annoys me, none of us know what the play was, if it was executed correctly or if the defense did a good job to take it away. But yet the ******** goes on.

Regardless of everything you just posted.... it's a problem and it needs fixed. Prohm is the one being paid millions to fix it, so it's his problem. If it isn't being drawn up well, that's on him. If the players aren't executing it as drawn up, that's still on him. That's his job, to draw up plays AND to get the players to execute them.

As everyone has said.... it was a GREAT win!!! That does not mean there's some things that still need to be fixed and cleaned up for this team to be successful down the road though.

I think there's a general issue that a lot of the team isn't great moving without the basketball. THT and Wigginton especially could increase their production if they improve getting open and scoring off cuts rather than relying only on dribble drive or contested jump shots. Shayok's ability to move without the ball really stands out compared to most of the other guards.

One thing I’ve noticed... we rarely try a bunched formation to start the play. Those sets are a bit less predictable for the defense, which has to hedge towards the basket.

Instead, we almost always are spread making screens and cuts difficult.

I admit it I am one of the few non coaching experts on CF forums - just a fan - but the in bounds plays need work. Fennelly said on one of the coaches corners shows he copied in bounds plays from Hoiberg....just a thought, but Prohm may want to look at that also.

That has been one of the great things about the women's team this yr, their ability to get a good look at the end of the qtr and their in bounding plays. They haven't hit all the shots but my goodness they've gotten a lot of good looks.

Good to see you’re feeling better

Why is this so hard for every team that Prohm coaches?
This is an area we need to work on. Not sure why we a struggling so much. I would believe that CSP sees the problem and will attemp to address it. Some of it is who you play, but to contend we need some improvement in this area. If for no other reason, it will reduce my stress and add to my life expectancy.

Glad we found something to ***** about lol.

Need to have one guy go way out high on every one I think. My main theory is hesitation when they first break open

That's what I tended to see last night. This is, of course, from a TV vantage point, so who knows, but it looked like Shayok was often open on the first cut but we didn't pass it. I agree with what's been said about secondary options. It seems like there is one screen for someone and then alot of standing around, which has to be coaching in my opinion. I can't imagine they are just forgetting the plays this far into the year.

I love Nick and his overall game, and think he's vital to our success, but I think I'd try Haliburton at this spot. Maybe greater risk, but our out of bounds plays have been risky anyway. I think Tyrese would see the opening/take the opening.

It's not just Prohm it's his assistants. You'd think after 4 years someone on that bench could design an inbounds play where we don't have to call a timeout or have a turnover. Don't we have any good waterboys?

This is D1 basketball. I would guess most in-bounds plays are scouted. The key is execution. You get open with sharp cuts and solid screens. We need to get better at both of those. Good defensive teams will exploit you if you are not sharp in your execution.
