How quickly can ISU become an Under Armour School??

Not sure but I doubt we're at the top of their list to make big offers to

New contract would start July 1, 2018 (beginning of new fiscal year like many universities)

Here is our contract information. Signed in 2011 for 7 years. If CMC can get the train rolling I see no reason why the new contract wouldn't be quite a bit more lucrative. Especially with a much larger student body.

Makes sense on a financial standpoint.

Being a Notre Dame fan as well, I would really not care for this. I haven't bought a single ND item of clothing since they switched from Adidas to UA. The UA clothing is garbage compared to the Adidas gear.

Under Armour is suburban white kid trash gear. It would be a major blow to me if we went away from Nike. I'd rather go Reebok.

Can we get Starter to sponsor us?

I prefer Nike over UA....but Adidas over UA? Come on! Adidas clothing is horrible, the hats fit oddly (really puffy and firm up top) and they have the most boring clothing line ever created.

All you old timers are nuts, I would wear exclusively Under Armour if I could afford it. Nike doesnt care about ISU and has been phoning it in for years. Remember when the correct cardinal color wasn't even in their color palette for an entire season? Embarrassing.

If we went Adidas, we could look forward to those hideous basketball uniforms come March. No thank you.

Looking at the contract database that was linked in the OP's link, our contract with Nike is abysmal. It's less than 50% of any other Power 5 contract reported on there, and less than 25% of the vast majority of the Power 5 contracts.

Cincinnati - an Under Armour school - gets more than 10 times what Iowa State gets from Nike. (Edit: This might not be apples to apples because there is a disclaimer on that site that some of the contracts are not annual value but overall value, but it is unclear.)

I would love to switch to Under Armour especially if it pumped $4 million more a year into the AD budget. We are getting absolutely hosed right now it would appear.

We have a set of games every year called the "Shamrock Series". Adidas had some really cool Shamrock Series clothing that I own.
