NBA: Hornacek on way out?

We always hear about the bridges in the AD, but the only sort of specific anyone's offered is some deal about wanting plane fare covered for an event.

On the professional side, didn't Hornacek come into the season in the last year of his contract? They've been planning to let him go the whole time.

Gee...it's like the NBA uses coaches like toilet paper.

The funny part is how little NBA coaches can really do in most cases. Very few carry the gravitas to have much pull...IE guys like Phil Jackson or Pat Riley.

Sounds like every other professional league to me.

Except the fact that in his mind he's above Iowa State. He's burned a ton of bridges inside the athletics department.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that.

Care to elaborate?

Is this just a stretch being made because his "agent" posted on some CF story back in May?
It's been discussed here before and has been going on since long before CF existed. Jeff simply hasn't shown much interest in remaining connected to ISU. He went to college here and played basketball and that's the extent of it. He moved on and has never looked back.

You would be hard pressed to defend Jeff's job right not.
The natives are restless with good reason. The Suns have looked like the Washington Generals for much of the year.
(I believe that was the team that always played the Globetrotters, right?)

Suns also have traded the best players over the last two years. No coach will help Phoenix right now.

I think it would be wise to find out what the university did to Jeff when he came back one weekend before saying anything about Jeff.
