I see he's through to the finals....beat the 18 seed to get there. Good stuff.

Is he walking on at Iowa State to play football or is that DNH's 220#. Whichever one it was is a well put together lad and an impressive athlete. I sat next to an old boy at the BCLUW duals tournament this winter that was giving me the low down. Nice guy to talk to.

Reinicke at 220 is a preferred walk on for Iowa State next year. If he gets a chance, he'll see the field in his career. Smart football player. Textor probably has wrestled the most tactically smart weekend I've ever watched a high school kid wrestle. Just has been on fire....side note...he was down 12-0 in the district semi's and reversed the kid to his back and pinned him...this weekend he's wrestling for a state title...God I love wrestling!

Saw IAWRESTLE'S interview with the West Deleware heavy-weight in the finals....kid said he was winless in Jr. High, won 3 matches as a freshman, didn't wrestle as a sophomore because he got up to 340 lbs and two years later he's wrestling for a state title....what a story!

Win on front 2 points, win on the back 1 point. Major 1pt, TF 1.5 pt, pin 2 pt. Then an 8 person tournament placement points. 16-12-9-7-5-3-2-1. These points get awarded as they are secured. Meaning when a wrestler makes semis, they have locked in no worse than 6th so they get 2 points for advancing and 3 points for 6th place.

I think when you coach a top ranked team and have proven you can get and develop top recruits (like David Carr) then EVERY top prospect is a viable target. Granted they will all be tough to get because of the competition. JMO

Everyone is going to want Ross. Could be a PSU type kid too. I think a realistic target for Iowa State in that weight range (and one I think we will have a very good chance to get) is Danarii Mickel from Ames (Paniro's cousin).

AJ Peterson isn’t 6’3-6’4 like his brothers but he is a brick house and is strong as an ox. Pretty wrestling savvy too. Wouldn’t be a bad wrestling walk-on addition if football doesn’t work out.
