Herman will survive,.....will Frost?

Frost gets another year because he is a Nebraska guy. Any other coach would be gone. It’s like if Fred sucked at Iowa State we would have gave him way more time to right the ship. Just
Like Michigan is giving Harbaugh a chance. It’s always better when someone invested in the program can do it

The AD just came out supporting Frost, I think that was basically a passive way of saying he's not going anywhere for a while. I'd guess he'll get another year before his seat warms up. That division is so bad though it seems like other than Wisconsin and Iowa, the other teams all take turns being awful and above average (which gets you 8 or 9 wins in that side of the league), they have to their turn soon.

I think given the current financial situations that many athletic departments are in right now due to the pandemic many coaches that may have been fired in a normal year will get at least 1 more year. It is going to be a hard sell to say you had to cut some sports to minimize your financial losses while also having to buy out a coach then likely fork out an expensive contract to replace them.

Frost is a former player so like someone mentioned above if this was Fred at ISU he probably gets more of a chance to turn things around than someone with no ties to the university. I would put the odds that Herman has a better chance of being fired than Frost does because Texas boosters are more likely to write the checks to buy him out while Nebraska boosters boosters probably are not quite at that point yet being he is a 2 time national champ as a player for them.

Frost will be there two more years...at minimum...and his team will actually be pretty good two years from now. It will be interesting, what will come first, bowl game win or basketabll tourney appearance? I'd bet they'll squeak into one of those sweet Florida Big 10 bowls for 6-6 teams. Fred has his work cut out for him....I guess Fran eventually got into the NCAA's, so it can happen.

The company I work for is a big booster there and I asked him durning a meeting a few weeks ago if their is any actually talk of firing frost and he laughed and said no he’s going to get at least another if not two.

With his contract Scott Frost will get at least two more years to turn the program...I listened to the reaction show yesterday after Minnesota...minus 33 players beat the huskers....Steve Taylor the ex Husker QB stated..."You have to give Frost at least Five Years to turn this around....and also the revolving door of players leaving must end."
If good old Frost doesn't get to a bowl in the next 2 years he is a GONER.

I remember when Rhoads got here, in 2011 and 2012 the big 12 was very tough. I was frustrated knowing that we We’re getting better but the results were not showing on the field because we kept losing to good teams. Ironically the opposite is happening at Nebraska. they suck but so does the rest of the big 10 W. and they still can’t win. that’s not a good sign

4 straight losing seasons and "the seat will get warm"-----in a couple years?

Like the state of NE, the people are great. We go to OMA all the time and have a blast. But the institution that is the Nebraska football program can be nuked into a smoldering crater then the earth salted so that if anything grows there in the next thousand years it'll be too soon.
