I guess 10% of what your mom received or in this case $40 is all it takes to clear up an NCAA violation? Man this is so hypocritical of the NCCA. Point in case, remember how Lucca Staiger lost a whole season of eligibility just because he played on a team in Germany where he did not take any benefits but it was found that some others on his team took stipends to cover expenses. Here's a refresher: http://cyclones.com/news/2007/10/26/1289550.aspx If I remember correctly weren't there at least 2 other players with similar situations that season too that were still eligible to play? I'd have to go back and look more but I think one of them may have been an Oregon State player.

I don't have any faith that the NCAA will have any kind of consistency or in some cases do anything at all once all the dirt in this investigation comes out. Unfortunately I see them doing what they did with Bridges where either they have to pay back money or they just give a slap on the wrist because they don't want to hurt their product when it involves high profile schools, coaches, and players and likely will look to re-write some rules that will be more lenient on this kind of stuff. We all assumed there was cheating and improper benefits going on behind the scenes for a long time and unfortunately I have no faith that they will actually address or fix the problems but instead change the rules to be more lenient and allow this to continue since college basketball is such a money making machine.
