The Penn State schedule looks super easy next year. Like if Campbell brought over just our roster, he could make the playoff imo

I'd like to think that too, but he was hired by Penn State, so he probably doesn't.
When a professor retires he is sometimes given the title of------ Emeritus. Let us come up with a title honoring his tenure at ISU.
Best Defensive Coordinator Iowa State has ever had. Wonderful human being. He'll never have to buy a drink in Ames. Sure hope to see him come back or show up around campus and JTS even after retirement. He deserves a proper sendoff, applause, & acknowledgement during a FB game someday.
The current D line coach at PSU just left for South Carolina today. Would be surprised if Eli isn’t headed there.

John Heacock reportedly made ~$1.2M a year.
Jim Knowles reportedly made $3.1M a year.
Heacock likely could have upped his salary by 2+ times for a year or two. He chose to retire instead.
For many people there really is a point where they have enough.
I strongly suspect for Campbell it was football success he was chasing, and that the money at ISU was enough.

I posted several times that I felt once Heacock retires we are screwed. I always thought it was true. Not sure Campbell can get a DC in happy valley to that level.
I’m gonna be real upset if MC gets prison sexed in pedo valley because JH was the reason for much of his success.
Hope that doesn’t happen.
