I might be confused about Smith but I'm not confused about low shots vs. wrestling from a knee. The point is the latter was around long before Robles. I'm guessing we agree that being active from the knees, including level changes, is different than using it almost purely for defense.

Pretty sure you tried to pull this routine a few years ago, saying they were all tapped out of $$$ after fundraising for the new facility. It is/was clear that was far from the case.

This is a program that raised $24M NOT from Bob Nichols to build a wrestling facility, and recently raised a quarter million to watch people jump into ice water, AND got a commitment from Bo Bassett. They aren't running out of money anytime soon.

I am not going back to watch it, unless there is a rule change, there is no stall. I have never witnessed any stall call from a kid wrestling from a knee. I remember when Robles won it, there were fans ******** that he had an advantage. We would all agree, he wrestled on a knee to slow things down, and he took shots maybe to just show he was trying to score? The reality, he took Plott down twice, 2-0 on takedowns. Highschool, we would teach to match level, and pretty much half shoot in fore head to forehead and try to get to tie and work them to your feet. Forrest might argue and try to get to a slide bye....IDK, but Ferrari had a plan and it worked.

And opinions like this are why stalling doesn’t work as a rule. A person wrestles in a clearly defensive position for 1/3 of the match, and you don’t think they’re stalling?

Whether or not Plott wrestled a good game on to account for Angelo’s stalling is irrelevant. I think Ferrari is a better wrestler, and probably wins by more if he engages with Plott more than he did. That’s not the point. First period was an absolute snoozefest because one of the wrestlers was doing nothing but backing up and blocking.

One thing I wasn't wrong on was how awful KJ was. I took an absolute beating here over that--I was accused of being an Iowa fan and also a racist. Tough to say which one offended me more. Regardless, people still hold it against me despite being 100% correct. So weird.

I didn’t say anything about Iowa financially a few years ago. I don’t care if you believe me or not though.

I figured it out. It was CyTwins which I think most assume is your previous username. Account activity seems to confirm. Twins bailed after being exposed for his BS and City started actively participating soon after. If it is just a coincidence, and I'm wrong, so be it. Not here to debate who is whom.

I don't know who liked what but I wouldn't hang my hat on the idea they are just going to throw up their hands and give up. They simply have access to too many resources and a monster fan base for that to be believable.

They’ll continue to get top talent/transfers and money won’t be an issue.

I don’t think they’re going to be able to buy transfers and top talent moving forward like they are now. Not even close actually. I’m not only one that believes that with the rumblings going on out East.
