Just grilled out for the first time this season last night, and was wondering what everyone uses to season hamburgers before putting them on the coals.

Lipton Onion Soup dry mixture. One packet for two pounds. Absolutely the best.

Oh... the other thing is to mix in salt, pepper, season salt, a little bit of honey... then make a patty but put cubes of cheese in the center of each patty.

You could also mix in bits of bacon, or anything else you can think of.

I don't have a big preference what it's seasoned with before grilling, as long as it is topped off with this-

I like to sprinkle on some Bacon Salt. I'm pretty sure everything tastes better with bacon seasoning though.

Basil burgers are great, mix a little olive oil and basil in with the meat. Great flavor! Don't go crazy on the Basil though, too much and you will be tasting it for awhile.

not really a seasoning but putting feta cheese in the ground beef before forming patties is amazing

olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and crumbled blue cheese......

You guys gotta put som Lawry's on them.

I'm with this guy. I usually just use a bit of seasoning salt on them. Of course I prefer the premade patties so they don't fall apart when grilling. If I made them myself I might mix in some of the Lypton's soup mix that someone else mentioned.
