Twas a fun game for sure. A few thoughts
-
@ImJustKCClone you nailed my thought process. I assumed Lawman was the jailer, as they had made Hagrid their avatar. The message I received seemed like something Lawman would say, especially after the night they had, so I was wrong in thinking they were going to kill me no matter what they said. The day I was jailed, they had told me I would be silenced soon. It just made too much sense to me that they were the jailer.
- In regards to the jailer role, in mafia games I've played where the role exists, I've found that the best strategy is IF you are jailed, you out yourself to the public right away. This removes potential bad guys from lying and saying they were jailed, thus clearing themselves from something, after the jailer dies. It also helps explain why a power was, or was not, used. In zero way was my strategy, nor do I think is it a good strategy, to actually OUT the jailer themselves. You typically want the jailers identity hidden as long as possible publically, but known to those they trust privately.
- Tip of the hat to mafia. They played well.
- I knew innocents were ****** when people were using quotes FROM TODAY as justification for their votes. C'mon people.
- Apologies for any distractions my interactions with Lawman caused. I enjoy being a heel/arrogant ******* in mafia games because they're just designed to be fun. It's kind of my MO. I believe most posters here know this about me and know there is a separation between real life Cubs and mafia Cubs. I think Lawman is/was new to the crew and didn't realize being an arrogant mafia ******* was kind of my thing, and tried being a hero for all in a previous mafia game by being a douche solely to me (as opposed to me being a douche to all equally, except fitzy, of course.) I have learned from this interaction and be better because of it.
And to end, for those who have got this far,
@Cy$ and
@PSYclone22 thanks for pulling this off - Mafia on CF was a big part of my college days in the 2010s and it is always fun to get back into a game. And for everyone else, holy ****, what a game, that was fun. If vote counts weren't such a *****, I'd be starting a new game tomorrow.
