Ugh. I thought of this last night myself. Storms with potentially heavy rain are in the forecast for tomorrow too.
It sounds like most of the rain went around Ames from what my brother in law was saying, but I know it rained there today.
We live about a mile from the stadium and we got dumped on this morning. I'm sorry I can't provide totals, but it is / was wet. The sun is out now though and thankfully we've had a dry spell leading into this week after all the intense rain in early September.
About 1/2 inch today according to this weather station.

The forecast between now and Saturday is dry, the lots should be fine.
Channel 13 forecast this AM showed a brief but severe line of storms coming through around 9 or 10 PM.
Yeah, I retract my previous statement. KCCI's 7 day forecast was a little misleading.
Last night, yes. Probably another, what 1" or 2" from earlier in the week? Fortunately the rain is done and it's breezy, but I really don't have any idea how much moisture those fields can take before it gets messy, or how long it needs to dry. I'm hoping the athletic department will say something today either way.
