Good lighter refreshing summer beer?

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a solid choice and easy to find. Founders All Day is a great session beer although has some hops.

It's pretty late for summer beers, I'd just dive into oktoberfest beers.

THIS. I love hoppy beers, but tis the season for Oktoberfest beers. Sam Adams Oktoberfest is a classic. The Big Grove Marzen is one my my recent favorites.

I haven't tried the Big Grove one but my favorite is the Millstream Oktoberfest. It just seems to have that authentic German taste or what I assume is authentic. I've tried tons of oktoberfests and that one still is my GOAT.

Lighter summer beers was my goal this year as well. I love IPAs but they give me such a headache so I've been trying lighter hazy/hoppy beers. My new favorites are Surly's Rocket Surgery hazy ale, Odell's Good Behavior crushable ipa and Deshutes Wowza lo-cal hazy pale. The Surly is still 5.5% but the other two are only 4%. If anyone is looking for lighter hazy's, give those a try.
