It’s advertisers trying anything they can to force their bs down our throat. “Maybe this will get them to care about the delta dental smile cam!” Every year I am more and more surprised by all the stoppages and timeouts. Today with few penalties and no reviews. Was so incredibly choppy and prodding.

The gameday atmosphere sucked and she was a part of it. But it also felt like I was being tortured watching 4 yard run after 4 yard run.
They were looking for applicants last spring, you guys could have applied.
For something that is not needed? Its as bad as Jeff Johnson firing up the crowd. Also Jeff is a good guy.
Who gives a **** which sports teams people follow? She's doing her job. Don't look now but our PA announcer is also an Iowa fan. He also does a good job.

Jfc guys, she's paid to pump dumb@ss sponsor promotions. What do you want her to do, not do the stupid promotions? Yeah it's annoying and she was definitely over the top but I'm sure the sponsors were thrilled. The atmosphere sucked because ND plays a ridiculously boring brand of football and we let them do it.
I can totally see how you have done the extensive research to try and pass that off as a fact. I'm betting Athletics actually has.
People said timeouts are boring as **** (they're right). Athletics is trying something for entertainment during breaks. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Will they learn about the experience and improve it? I'd be shocked if there wasn't already a meeting or one scheduled for Tuesday morning to work through some tweaks.
Athletics is responding to feedback. This is a case where doing something and not being perfect is still a vast improvement from doing nothing.

I hate how they feel like the sheep need to be distracted the entire game. We have to listen to rap music between many plays, we get the screaming hawkeye lady trying to hype us up on the big screen (and she was insufferable by the way)…it gets old.
Maybe we just want to sit and enjoy our beer and talk to our friends between plays sometimes.

Outside of the first touchdown it was quiet as hell in there today. It was majority of the games last year. Not sure if it’s the students moving or what but JTS has sounded quiet for the past year.

Weren't they like 8/12 on 3rd down at one point? The defense rocked the stadium to sleep today.
I get that, but the band could play, the cheerleaders could yell and get us loud. I don’t think we need a hawkeye lady to scream at us on the big screen that we need to be excited.

I'm at least willing to give this a few games to see if it works. Essentially this person is reading the same promos the PA announcer used to. But it's always going to be cringey when this person is way more enthusiastic than the crowd/atmosphere is, which is what happened today.
