it was getting buried in BS and that is definitely one INTRIGUING interview.

The more I think of it the more I think it is the right time for him to come back home. This would make him the favorite over Cael for the final time. It was also allow him to coach at a place that at one point in time meant a lot to him. It will also allow him to go head to head with and prove he is a better coach than Brands, making him the best of all time no questions asked.

I have always been a Cael-over-Dan guy just because it always felt like Dan ditched us to help Iowa dominate for years but if he came (even for just 1 year) it would wash it all away in my mind. He could come in on a white horse and "save" the day for ISU and really cement himself as a favorite for both ISU and Iowa. Never thought that would/could be possible...

Dan back for one last ride to the top at ISU, over his prodigy brands, and over his nemesis Cael. The greatest of all time, and damn near movie worthy.

I think they would too. It is his alma mater and we need the help at the moment. Plus, they know he won't be doing it for long, just long enough to stick it to Cael. How awesome would it be if he stepped in and won a NC with Cael's guys in his first year. Just awesome...:yes:

That's all I could come up with. I didn't know if there was a story behind it that I wasn't aware of.

well, it sure as hell would have been a convenient time to say "I don't want to be a head coach again" and he sure didn't say that. More than curious about the job is my interpretation.
