I have some very obnoxious Iowa fans that are friends of mine who talked **** to me after the WBB game, which I really didn't even care about, and when I tried to do the same after the MBB game, they said "we suck and we don't care" lol. Basketball is my favorite sport so I follow along and certainly root for Iowa State WBB, but I'm not heavily invested. It'd be like if they beat us in volleyball. I wouldn't really care that much.

Heck, I'm an Iowan who wrestled as a kid, and I loved going to the barn with my Dad to watch State every year.

I also coach my niece's travel basketball team, and I will likely coach my daughter's too.

Relatively speaking, College Wrestling and WBB basically don't matter, like at all. I have zero problem with it. In the grand scheme of college sports entertainment, nobody cares about wrestling or wbb, nor should they.

Even at their best, it is not even remotely the same as football or men's basketball. It's just not even debatable. The only reason they watch it is the same reason I sit through games or musicals for my kids, except sadder.

You couldn't pay me to go to that same production put on by some other High School kids I don't know. It's transparently weak and narcissistic to try to prop it up as some kind of thing we should care about just because they are good at. It is so cringe. Clark is gone. Get over it.

pretty sure wbb had better title game numbers than the mens championship last year. although I do think that was mostly because of clark. I don't watch a lot of wrestling or wbb either though.

Fran is so checked out. Really doubt he’s at Iowa next season. Going to go be with his boys in Indy

One of their 4's, Seydou Traore, is coming back from an ankle injury that sidelined him for both the Northwestern and MIchigan games. Funny that he was healthy enough though to play in the ISU game before not suiting up again a couple nights ago.

It’s the Franny way…… abuse players above all else in a futile attempt to keep the ISU game close. He’s such a asshat…. But a sukeye asshat.

Has anybody seen any stats about the number of points we scored against a top 15 opponent compared to Iowa? I mean I think we scored more points is the first half than Iowa has in 3 years. I've been checking Cyclone Larry but nothing yet...
 
Sorry to post this in a basketball thread but the title is appropriate. I went to grab my Oregon hat for tonight and realized I hadn't posted their football schedule year.

And btw, I dislike Iowa like the next Cyclone, but 'vocalization' of fu-k iowa on CF isn't really needed, IMO.

...Most of the time, exceptions, of course, apply. But is this really necessary?

I expected the dumbs. Is it so wrong to think it's not great to say 'F you' to someone, deserved or not? It's the way I was brought up.

I'll take that badge. Proud of it.
