Friday OT - Tattoo You

It really doesn't hurt.

Yeah, your wife came with me when I got mine on the neck of my neck. I was terrified that would hurt because of the amount of bone and sensitive area, but it wasn’t bad at all. She, K, and I just chatted the whole time.

My tatt did not hurt at all. It does depend on what body part you pick. I'm very happy with mine .... glad I did it. I was in my 50s and it was my 1st tatt.

You are banned from interacting with my wife, and you know why.

I have 9, with a 10th coming tomorrow afternoon. I have a Cow by Bear tattoo which was from a pop up dinner we went to in San Diego last year. Super random

Penguin tattoo as they are my favorite animal.

Jellyfish tattoo as they are just awesome.

Initials and date my best friend passed away 10 years ago. That was my first 3 years ago.

Surfboard tattoo, just super random one day in Omaha.

Pineapple tattoo, not a swinger lol.

A saying my partner and I have matching.

Prickly pear cactus tattoo in New Mexico.

Bitterroot flower tattoo in Montana.

Getting a seahorse with a red stocking cap on it tomorrow in tribute to my favorite movie, Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

I have a bunch of Marine corps tats. My original, a huge back piece, I got a Boston Red Sox logo because I’m a fan and my ex wife is a Yankees fan. Some on my legs. Getting a new one next week. Yes they hurt in certain spots

To each their own. I’m a random person and things just happen sometimes. Half of mine are from vacations and road trips where I decide that day to get one and what it might be. Usually of the area we are in. To some random, to me, it tells a story of things I’ve done and places I’ve been.

I like to think of my body as a sticker book, and I like it that way. It takes way too much planning to do an entire detailed, integrated tattoo.

I've thought about getting the shapes of the countries I've visited tattooed on me like a big puzzle. Would probably have to do it on my back, but have thought about it on my forearms that eventually becomes a sleeve

I'm the exact opposite I have a few that are all tied together across my pec and shoulder and have very much planned them out so that they fit together and look good. Have a couple more planned to continue going across my back now. But love that everyone does it differently

I'd love to do a half sleeve but as an engineer I'm worried I'd get judged and might cost me career opportunities. At this point I'm holding off but maybe someday I will!
