Friday OT #2 - Typecast

Two from "Cheers".

George Wendt was Norm and never really played anything but that character.

Woody Harrelson as Woody. He moved on but it took a long time to accept him as anything other than the sweet, naive, small-town Midwestern boy. Realizing that his father was a hitman-for-hire and had murdered a federal judge was certainly a WTF moment.

Wasn't he mentioned as possibly one of the tramps arrested in the rail yard when Kennedy was assassinated?

I always thought she would be Elaine.

Now she is forever Selena.

Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman is gonna have a harder time than Bryan Cranston IMO. I mean who would've thought he could go from Malcolm in the Middle to Breaking Bad?

Dean Norris (Hank) is also having a hard time but his interviews are hilarious, says he wants to do comedy only stuff.

If Dean Norris can overcome this he can overcome anything.

Slightly different but same concept... It's hard to hear James Earl Jones' voice without thinking about Darth Vader.

Chris Evans is going to have to work hard to shake the Captain America moniker for me.

That is why he initially turned down the role several times before finally being convinced to take the part by his mom I believe. Probably has something to do with why he wants to move his career more behind the camera now that his MCU contract is done too.

Not only has Sean Connery become James Bond, for me there will never be another Bond. The rest are all just cheap imitations.

I'll disagre with this.

Sean Connery is great because he's Sean Connery. But i actually think Pierce Brosnan was the best Bond.

Has Samuel L. ever not been a bad ************ in a movie...?

The obvious one to me is John Wayne. He was always that same swaggering cowboy, even when he did approximately one million war movies, too.

Here's a list of possibilities. I would say his character in Changing Lanes was not a badass however if you have seen the movie that character does go down a dark path and does some things that are kind of badass

When I first started watching "Breaking Bad," I thought about how different his character is compared to the role he played in "Malcolm in the Middle."

I knew him as Hal first as a major character but also he was great as Tim Whatley in Seinfeld.

I have some connections that worked with him and there were scenes in 'Malcolm' that he made scenes way better with his abilities.

He's just a really good actor.
